That's actually what tipped me off, the SP made me think Cascades and then I remembered Cantara loop and sure enough, they looked to be the same. Also, I've found a couple of spots just railroad east of Weed that could possibly be the new shot...Can't be sure because the maps are pretty low quality.

Coast Starlight use that route, doesn't it? And over those days, there were other passenger trains there?

Yes, the coast starlight does run this route, however it has the dumbest schedule for any Amtrak train in the US. It runs through the central valley eastbound during the afternoon, it gets dark at about Redding, and it arrives in Portland at dawn, so the entire route is through the night. The westbound isn't much better, it's around midnight in Dunsmuir. I believe during the 90s the Coast Starlight was the only train running, but I'm not completely sure.

I believe since 1971, the Coast Starlight is the only passenger train on the route, the Southern Pacific had a few different passengers train before the formation of Amtrak, such as the Shasta Daylight, the West Coast, and local trains, but only SPs Cascade train lasted until the formation of Amtrak.

Seems like DTM is just about done with the SD45-2 pack, this looks to be everything that will be included once it releases.

The big question is (for my personal interest) will scenarios included take advantage of all the stock or there will be just three of them as usual?

Got to admit, this one looks to be one of the biggest loco add-on DTM has ever made so far.

It's a shame, they could have used the Hi Line stock, they would have had many more sales. Pretty weird to see an US scenario pack that's not from HIS though.

DTMs next loco after the SD45-2 is the EMD F3, which will cover Union Pacific and related fallen flags under the UP banner.

    O.O UP F3s + 6 fallen flags (CNW/DRGW/MKT/MP/SP/WP). This I can't wait to see.

More model progress on the F3 from DTM, and it's looking good so far:

I briefly got audibly excited and then released a deep sigh.

Also, since I am European, I have decided that I can no longer say the name of the orange railway. So sad. I find Burp Nipple Smolder and Fudge to have one of the prettier liveries in North America.

Since us Europeans are banned from looking at the name of the company I prefer Bravo, November, Sierra, Foxtrot.

I honestly don't know why they didn't use Hi-Line stock, since its the only BNSF specific route that is released worldwide (Tehachapi doesn't really count)

So texture wise the Tunnel Motors look better than Donner Pass, if these are indeed SD40T-2 and not SD45T-2s. All paint schemes bear the pre-Speed Letter Font, so the route may not be set after 1988. Interesting to note the addition of the L-Shaped cab window on the lead loco. (Which would be new for the SD40T-2s, which didn't have those on DP).

Trailers unfortunately look unbranded, which is a shame. This would of been the perfect opportunity to add the SP's Golden Pig Service trailers officially to TS.

Saw the post about that blocked scenario pack worldwide. Maybe someday Britain's New Survey Federation will be available worldwide again, once again. But even if it is, is the scenario pack worth it? Depends on whether you feel paying a dollar for a scenario is worth the value; if not, or if you just download a free user scenario to play daily, it probably isn't.

Looking forward to the SD45-2. I saw the announcement. Might be out today or next week at the latest.

See Blacknred’s post about the Pacific Surfliner scenario pack. It uses Brutally Nasty Suburban Flatcars.

That last bit may answer your question. If not, look at the capitals.

Ah yes the famous beansniffing debacle, it is a shame that the only reason stuff can't be sold worldwide is because DTG won't pay the international license...

To my mind DTG don't need to do that - they "should" release unbranded DLC however! Then let the community come up with the goods ;)

Exactly what I believe. They can just release the stock DLC package and it wouldn't break anything since nothing but the textures are changed on the locos, and with the gevo it comes to blacking out a decal.

DTG already have a License for BNSF & older companies they hold the copyright for.
They would not be alble to release USA only stuff it they did not have a license.

AFAIK - BNSF would not grant a license for products sold outside the US

I had a discussion on Discord about this recently with someone. That person theorized that it might be a problem with the license being with RSC, and DTG taking over meant the license was no longer valid, so DTG had to buy a new license and they only got a U.S. license not understanding that BNSF content would have a "worldwide" following - including those people who see it every day on their own soil and cannot get it. Which means it's trademarked in those areas, and should have been available to those customers as well.

The fact that I see BNSF freight go by on Canadian tracks all the time is something I commented on in my year and a half (so far) of pushing for the BNSF license to be made worldwide. Let's hope it goes somewhere.

I know I've looked at this before too. If you look up BNSf in the Canadian Trademark database they have at least 5 active Trademarks for naming and designs. Also still have an active trademark on Great Northern Railway...

Another conspiracy theory that it must be a problem with DTG rather than BNSF

Look up DTG in Google and you get this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dovetail_Games
Dovetail Games, a trading name of RailSimulator.com Ltd, is a British simulation video game developer and publisher.
One of the reasons given for the name change was the development of other non-railway games such as the Fishing Simulator and the Flight Simulator.

If you could be bothered to read the post I was replying to - NOT YOURS - I pointed out that DTG did not "take over the License" from RSC because it is still the same company, DTG is just a trading name

i don't see BNSF issues fixed anytime soon. and ts2022 doesn't have CN license anymore. it up to third party now to make Canadian dlc for this game.

What are you on about? DTG absolutely still have the CN license, they wouldn't be able to sell their old CN content, or third party content on the Steam storefront otherwise.

CN content for TS22 is still their on the steam store, not sure where you are getting they have no license for CN. Yes there is no BNSF worldwide license, only available in the US.

the only thing i see on steam store from dtg only is 2012 sd40-2w. other CN DLC is from milepost simulator.
reason why i said that DTG doesn't have cn licensee anymore is they haven't released any cn stuff in ages. and seem milepost simulator is one that releases cn dlc wait... so dose travel by train they made cn dlc too.
and old cn that dtg made might be gone. the sd40-2w seem to be the reusable locomotive that dtg still has and leant to milepost simulator.

That's all DTG ever made. All the other CN DLC(Peace River, SD70, Yellowhead Pass, and the SD60) were all made by either Milepost simulations(All three routes) or Travel By Train(Both locos).

The annoying thing about that Surfliner pack is I can't buy it being outside the USA even though I own Marias Pass, having bough it before the BNSF license foolishness occurred.

Fair enough. It was just something that someone told me, and I don't appreciate being lumped into a certain group when all I did was relay information I was given. I wasn't vouching for its accuracy.
Wait, what? You cannot buy Surfliner? Not only do I own it in my area, but I can buy it again as a gift, so it's not restricted for me. Are you talking about the route, or a specific pack (the scenario pack above, which I cannot obtain)? If the train pack, then yes, not being able to buy something you own everything for - the old BNSF loco at 24012 possibly being one of them - would be annoying.
