After driving Sherman Hill several times now, I have noticed on double -stack unit trains, when there is a difference of size - I mean there are 2 containers on the freight car, one of 40 and another of 53 - on TSW2, most of the shorter 40 ones appears above.

But after seeing lot of videos of trains, for so many years, I remember most of them, it have the longer ones above.
Of course I have not concrete statistics about it, but looking for pictures I found this:

I do not know if it is a technical or logistical issue, but it seems to be this way.
Despite of that I believe it looks better to be this way

So I would like to suggest DTG to change on Sherman Hill UP container trains, all the cars including different container sizes, to position the larger ones above, and the small ones below.

Of course this is not a main issue, but it will be more like the real thing.

What do you think?

I agree its something that should be looked into in the future as well as some other things with the containers. Pretty much 99% of the time a smaller container would be stack below a larger container (Weather that be a 45, 48 or 53ft). It isn't something majorly important, but it is a minor annoyance for those of us who see these trains everyday......

But what if in those instances where the smaller one is on the top only the larger container is loaded. Then it makes sense to me (for me who has never seen a us freight train irl) that the loaded one is on the bottom because of center of mass. I can understand that this is probably not a frequent thing that happens but strictly from a physics point of view it makes sense

I am not sure if empty containers will travel on a train again.
I guess logistic companies wait to get a new load in order to send it on a train.

Despite of that this is a simulator, and I just "suggest" this change, ...that it can be made on a future update of the game.

¿Te imaginas una pirámide al revés? elevar It depends on the weight and not on the extension. It is called cargo estiva, and there are professionals for that, very well paid, they have to see if they are full of cotton or lead. All have influence, but the load is similar to the smallest on top. Can you imagine an upside down pyramid?
