Great news for everyone outside of the USA. I was lucky enough to have all the BNSF routes and locos before the embargo. A good early Christmas Present.

When were they taken down as a matter of interest? I have Marias Pass in my library and a few other US routes which may or may not have been pulled I don't know.

Also, is there still a BNSF-branded loco in the US legacy assets pack?

Wow, you've been living in a cave or something. This has been the most talked about subject on TS for years on various forums. I to have the BNSF DLC before this embargo happened. I'm not sure of the date when it happened but at least 8 years.

Around the release of TS2016, i.e September 2015. The BNSF ES44s and SD40s included with the US Loco & Asset Pack are there by mistake, they were initially available as a separate DLC however before the ban they did some updated to it and packaged it into a .ap file. Since they share the same directory they must have accidentally packaged the BNSF DLC too. That's the only logical explanation I can think of. Somehow the ATSF F7 was able to slip past completely however.

The BNSF embargo didn't just affect BNSF logos but other rail companies that they own/owned. BNSF owned the Santa Fe routes/locos and also the logos on the trains in the Clear Creek route were not the right ones for those living outside the USA. I'm not sure whether we will be getting these too. Perhaps DTG could verify this. I don't know of any other routes locos that are in TS2022 that were rebranded or not because of the BNSF embargo.

I believe you are mistaken. You do not own the ATSF SD45-2. ;)

I'm going to say you will. I don't know if the fictional livery will be retained or not, but they likely use the same location like with the other BNSF routes. The car packs will have the US content added in somhow, too. I've been looking up the SteamDB depot entries for some routes and think a quick swap will be done on the package itself; the base route and assets are the same for both.

And to think I was the one talking about it for the last year and a half.

I hope I'm in the right Forum for the vote on which BNSF route to vote for?
I am voting for Stevens Pass as it has heaps of accessories to use in creating various scenarios.
