Add more details train protection system is the standard AWS TPWS DSD 1989 onwards DRA Red Button 1990s onwards for the route.
There really is little point them posting further, as I said OP is living on Fantasy Island if they think nearly 300 miles of the ECML plus the Durham Coast line is going to appear as one route.
ugh I really hate the new people coming on here and ignoring the well established traditions. To use the brevity and complexity of your suggestion: no.
Can't see the whole route being created, sorry. However, the route from Sunderland to York could have some potential, particularly if the short section of the TVL to Middlesbrough is included. Plenty of passenger traffic including Grand Central, Northern, LNER and Transpennine Express, as well as plenty of freight yards to shunt and transport goods trains through. Route length would be quite long, ~80 miles and 16 stations, with major stations at Sunderland, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Northallerton and York, with several minor local stations along the route. It would include the Durham Coast Line from Sunderland to Middlesbrough, Tees Valley Line from Middlesbrough to Eaglescliffe, Eaglescliffe-Northallerton and the ECML to York. Grand Central and Northern would be the main focus, with it set in the present-ish day (2018/9), with the BR class 180 and 142 Pacer or 156 Sprinter as traction. Transpennine Express trains could use the 185 between Middlesbrough and York if they're added as a DLC. There's a lot of freight opportunities including but not limited to the yards at York, Middlesbrough, Sunderland docks and even the nuclear power station at Hartlepool! This route could also work set in BR era, but I don't know enough about services and traction back then to detail it a bit more... PS, thread creator, the route has potential just make sure you add in as much as you know and explain why your chosen route would be ideal for TSW. Look at a few other forum posts to see how much detail people like and add a few pictures. Wikipedia is your friend :P
I'd definitely be behind this, but it ain't gonna happen. There's been a few suggestions for the Durham Coast Line (including one from myself ), which is the line from Newcastle - Middlesbrough via Hartlepool. If Eaglescliffe could be included, then Grand Central could easily be done, perhaps especially so if someone decided to lay the track to York for a potential scenery extension. Northern run hourly services from Newcastle to Middlesbrough, and the line is also shared with the Tyne & Wear Metro north of Sunderland.
