Personally I’d like some UK content, either route or class 700 on BML, or if we were really lucky a route extension (in my dreams, I know). What do other people want?
An update on Dresden-Chemnitz. I’m really looking forward to a new German route. But it would also be nice to see a route from another country Dovetail haven’t made before (of course, that’s also in my dreams)
new 3rd parties (and 3rd parties routes), some other countries and in general new and exciting stuff!
Something UK based that isn’t a 3rd rail EMU (Electrostar) on a southern route. As many before me, I haven’t much hope.
Number one would be the PS5 DLC limit fix being in Next Arrival but Matt did say in a live stream that it would be unlikely to be released this year, so I’m not too optimistic. Finding out what the next UK route is would also be nice.
Would like to know when the next preservation crew updates will see the light of day. Adam is always good at teasing them and then you don’t see the actual release for what seems like an eternity! That and more optimisation/fixes on the RH routes.
I would like to see more info on the PS5 DLC issue. Fixes for the Scenarios and services that can’t be completed due to red lights. (For me these are mainly in Cathcart and Hamburg Lübeck) News on stability and fixes for Rush Hour Routes. News on how DTG are going to conquer the seemingly huge backlog of bugs. There was talk of more frequent bug fix releases. I don’t think we’ve seen that Honestly I’m not getting my hopes up for news on any of them. So anything positive will be a nice surprise.
Preservation Updates in next release In planning: Class 700 for BML Acela Express for Boston Sprinter ICE-T for DRA A part of the ECML with Class 91 Of course I'm fully aware not a single one of the above will become reality
**Rush Hour Loco Pack** With indeed those loco's would be amazing! But doubt that will come soon.... Would deff be nice to have ECML and surely with the (LNER)Class 91!
I'm just gonna grab the popcorn (well Jonuts in my case) sit back watch the livestream on one monitor and go with the banter in the #tsw-roadmap-and-preview-streams on my Discord server (Hentis Rail (shameless plug lol)). Hentis
Would love to see ECML, at least some of it, CLASS 91 would also be fantastic, about as dated as I would go though.
Definitely think a Euston - Milton Keynes WCML could happen. How ever I'm not to sure about an Eastleigh - Poole set in the mid 80's towards the beginning of the electrification of the route from Branksome - Weymouth. I mean to be honest we ALL would love our local line in the route. But hey ho. Regards Hentis
Optimization for BML with some freight added for us PS4 players who have payed the same as everyone else & got less.
The presevation routes that are already completed to move to next arrivals The BML fixes to also move to next arrivals The PS5 download limits to move to next arrivals However, I get the feeling that all I am getting for Xmas from DTG is a turkey
I was looking forward to Preservation Crew updates to Peninsula Corridor before end of year. Seems a tad unlikely
Top of the list for me is the PS5 DLC cap being fixed. Content wise either a new modern era British diesel route (North Wales Coastal anyone?) or some UK loco add ons.
What I would love to see: Any new British DLC What we will get: No new British DLC. DTG seems to have forgotten about the UK DLC wise.
i asked this to Matt about a year or so ago and he said the route would have to be rebuilt as so much has changed since when the electrification had started and finished. So they might as well do a full Brand new TS type Didcot / Oxford to Paddington route (with access to the Flyover and Basingstoke WOE lines at Reading as well. Again Would be nice but yeah. Regards Henits
I’d like to see a release date for the Peninsula Corridor updates. I’d also like to see some signs of the signalling bug and horrendously written scenarios in Boston Sprinter being fixed. Updates on the PS5 DLC and Trophy limits would also be nice to see, though I doubt anything will be made clear today.
Hoping for an update on the state of the PS5 version in the stream tonight. As for new content, I'm hoping some UK content will appear!
What I hope to see - updates on Dresden-Chemnitz, a new British route, and on preservation team progress What I think we are going to get - "... Christmas ... as such, there is not much movement on the roadmap..."
what I would like is the annoying resign in to dovetail live stopped when they up date the game with the small patches, yes resign in if they make a big change to the game, other wise let us stay signed in to the game
Turns out none of us got anything we wanted, disappointing stream and with shut down period coming up, not a lot to look forward to for the next one.
Well for owners of Sony equipment , there is another thing you can spend money on. They can’t even be bothered to fix the broken menu that Matt himself saw months ago.
More traffic on Aachen - Koln sounds decent but hardly a game changer. I’m a big fan of rush hour, not everyone’s cup of tea I know but I’m not going to be investing in Steam, which wasnt mentioned on Stream and I’m not excited by anything on the roadmap at present. Was hoping for something new for the festive period. Hoping that Munich-Augsburg is on a sale soon as I’ve been lucky enough to get a PS5 recently and like the look of that as got all the layers, just not that route.
1. Like so many of you, I want to see bug fixes, and lots of them ... I despise the motto "If older customers are dissatisfied, we can still sell our bugs to new customers, they won't even notice"! It seems like the company image doesn't matter at all. I'll keep that in mind, and my wallet stays closed until there's some noticeable change. 2. There are some imminent drawbacks in the design of the core software since the very start (or at least since the time I began playing TSW). I really would like to see improvements in this regard, which encompasses: - The way distances are measured and displayed. (Try to bring the distance to target on the screen to less than 1 metre or 1 yard. This is impossible because the target marker is at a different height than the driver's seat!). - There's only little use for the track map, and the single noticeable element that supports your orientation is the marker that shows your position. You can't tell how far any other position is away, you can't tell which track is on which height, in areas with lots of switches, bridges or overpass structures the map looks like a meshwork ... and so on, really disappointing. That should be enough for now, because I don't think any of these points will make it into the game in the next 12 or 24 months.
[/ QUOTE] Well, I would like an Iberian, Italian or Hungarian route. maybe Dutch, Austrian, Bulgarian or Romanian. maybe Croatian, Serbian or Luxembourgish. but ask for more British ????, okay, make a simulator just for the British. There are more people in this world, and this that only mentions European countries, but Argentina or China has dream railways. Spain is the European country with the most high-speed trains, Russia has the longest trans Siberian and Australia trains with 6 miles long. and you ask for more british. how unambitious.
I’d like a British route as that’s where I live. All I’ve asked is what people would like and British routes is what I’d like. Nothing to do with ambitious/unambitious. If you are as ambitious as you make out though, why don’t you start your own company and make all the routes you’ve listed, I’m sure people will buy. Let me know when you’ve done that and il buy a copy myself, can’t wait for a route that has a 6 mile train.
Australia is home to the largest bulk freight trains. BHP Billiton's common iron ore is transported by 2.4 km trains with 264 cars and four locomotives. The special lines are larger, the longest on June 21, 2001, and include eight locomotives, 682 cars and a single driver. The whole train was impressive, 7,300 meters long!
Admittedly, that was a special train set up as a record-breaker, basically a Guinness push. US trains have become incredible beasts: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-train-safety-idUSKBN1E01B9 https://www.newsmax.com/finance/economy/gao-length-freight-trains/2017/12/06/id/830160/ The average length of a US freight train is 1.5 miles (2400 meters), but we are seeing a record-breaking number of consists over 10,000 ft (3000 m) and the Feds are investigating the derailment of a CSX train that was over 17,000 (5200 m).
They do not have special trains for the iron mines, they are around 5500 meters and 7000 meters, there are them every day, they are special because at the time that they circulate the lines they cannot have other trains in circulation. It is not something sporadic, it is the special train of the day. and you have the ghan, passenger train, that the line has more than 3000 klm, and the train is passenger train, the longest in the world. also in australia. You also have the Siberian trans, that insurance you heard about, which was the train that linked Europe with Asia. a lot of train history, I make a living from that, my profession is linked to trains, that's why I adore them. excuse my English.
