Can somebody please tell me how to get out of the cab on the Bakerloo line. I’ve got to change ends but can't get out of the cab I’ve finished with. Is there something I’ve not switched off. I’ve shut down the traction brake lever, I’ve removed the direction key and the key down by the left side of the seat. I’ve turned the headlights off and put the tail lights on. What am I not doing, Help?

you get out the cab via the door behind the driver. The front door is always locked so people cant walk in the tunnels.

Never mind, I found the answer my self in the end. You’ve got to get up out of the drivers chair before you can move around, duh, am I thick or what. Thank you for already answering. I’m new to this simulator. My first eight hours and I’m shattered. Much better than N3 Games and Trainz.

Welcome. Enjoy the sim, you’ll find most things answerable here (even how to get up and walk out a door ).

A classic. I once wondered how to uncouple trains on Birmingham Commuter and it turns out I overlooked a big fat red button with "UNCOUPLE" written above it. And I still occasionally forget to unlock the brake key if the loco has one.

The basic checklist if the train isn't moving:
    - Are the brakes released?
    - If the train has one: is the brake key unlocked?
    - Is the reverser in the forward position?
    - Are the doors fully closed?
    - On German trains: are the brakes released AND did you bring the throttle back to the OFF position before applying power?

Yea, especially tha tubestock has extra safety systems. You cant drive with open cab window and passenger doors, but you can use the interlock & override switch. (In real used for emergeny, maintenance and abnormal procedures).

Its functional on the tsw2 mkii tubestock. Enjoy.

My usual area of trouble is using keys “A and D” for throttle and braking, but for some reason “S” gets in the way and then I wonder why the train rolls to a stop and won’t move again. “S” puts the reverser into neutral, they need to move the “S” on the keyboard ;)

Use the 4th finger on the left hand for "A" and the index finger for "D", while resting the tip of the middle finger on "W".. and all is well. :)
