Sort of like "Delectable Detroit," "Sophisticated Stockton" or "Classy Camden"

I think that in the interest of keeping processing under control the old "thunder box" (Donnerbüchse)* coaches here are just static visual assets without physics; but I would not be surprised at all if the 3D model is being developed for the forthcoming German steam route.

*So called because they had two fixed axles without bogies, and made a Godawful din while pounding the wrath of Zeus into your backside

There are no Donnerbüchse coaches. Donnerbüchsen are for 1435mm gauge. On the photos you see some 750mm gauge passenger coaches. Big difference

However, those in the screenshot appear to be standard bodies mounted on narrow-gauge axles.

I have a question, is the weird Traction Lock for the Br 143 fixed on the Rampe?...
Naturally nice would be Freier Auslauf as an additional feature.

no, they are completely different coaches, but it is here off topic. There are no standard bodies for different gauges in Germany.

Yeah on the Tharandter Rampe only traction mode and only brake mode would be useful for BR 143

I just hope they give the route as much love as they did London commuter. Seeing the amount of trains at once in the screen is impressive and they have set the bar really high on what can be achieved.. I hope it has and busy timetable but also have lots of AI services to make the route busy, especially using the routes from Dresden and Riesa route to show dresden HBF busy.
I have been playing none stop since I got the game two weeks ago I keep going back to London Brighton DLC do to the amount of services .

This route is certainly none of the busy ones :D I hope there will be a good amount of AI traffic at both ends, but with 2tph from the passenger side between Chemnitz and Dresden it's not going to be anything like London Brighton :)

Yep, I think the traffic levels should reflect reality somewhat, not everything has to be rush hour, quieter/rural routes have their own charm. And while Brighton has a lot of traffic, it's basically two very similar EMUs going back and forth. With passenger, freight and shunting, I'd say this route will have more variety.

Sure the timetable of the BML is bigger. But Tharandter Rampe has much more variety. Especially freight. Not only the 66 with only one type of freight cars like in BML (and even that on PC and Next generation consoles only). And the tilting 612 is technically much more interesting than the Electrostar.

What do you want. The UK has the most routes in TSW at the moment.

    About Variety:

Spotted with the Satellite (North of Chemnitz Hbf), looks like a bunch of Ludmillas to me.

Checked it at google maps. It seems 232, 143 and V60 and V100, no 218.

Will the route have branch lines and will we see Sächsisches Eisenbahnmuseum at Chemnitz Hilbersdorf?

Especially the V300. But in the Sächsische Eisenbahnmuseum near-by you can see much more. 3 or 4 x 232, 229, VT160, 363, 155, DR V60, DR V200, DR V180, DR BR 120 "Taigatrommel", DR V100, DR BR 52 and much much more. It's definitely worth it to visit it.

There is a loco grave yard, where 232, 218 and currently a lot of 143 are parked :)

Looking forward to this, as I spend most of my time playing the German routes. I've generally stopped buying DLC on launch because of a combination of previous rushed-out buggy routes and no longer any launch discounts. But I will make an exception for this one :)

With this route, maiks br232 (in production) has a nice place for scenarios and time tables.

...the first screenshots look really promising! The historic wheat mill and the narrow-gauge passenger cars of the "Weißeritztalbahn" are definitely some of the highlights along the route. Seems like a good start in January 2022, not only for fans of german routes.
Now we also know what the mysterious "Railpool" livery, in one of the last live streams, was all about. It is now officially licensed and part of the TSW universe. ;)

You as a developer can't just say something like - now I somehow think a 218 might be in production as loco DLC :D

Maybe a TSG/DTG production of the 218 is in planning/production like the 101 - seeing how TSG expressed interest in doing one. It‘s all baseless speculation though :D

Trust me, I will never hint towards future routes/trains. That's just me expressing my excitement for when a 218 saw one there on maps lol. I very much like 218s, especially after I got the vR one for TS1.

I probably couldn't fit on one post everything I'd love to see in TSW anyway. But if I could that would be out of personal interest rather than hinting. Sorry guys!

The 218 has been just about ubiquitous on German rails for 60 years. Hard to imagine a yard in Germany without them - even supposedly "obsolete" and after widespread electrification, the thing is just too darn useful to retire or replace.

Totgesagte leben länger - roughly: Those declared dead live longer. Something that seems to apply to a lot of older locos in Germany, especially when considering private rail companies.
