Thinking of buying a couple of routes during the holiday sale, any suggestions? I play on PS4 and particularly enjoy east coastway and the electrostars, and have started getting the hang of some of the German routes. Also, I’ve been looking at southeastern high speed, Ruhr-Sieg Nord and Main spessart Bahn, any thoughts on those routes? https://100001.onl/

MSB is well worth a look, probably the most scenic German route.

If you want Electrostars (not really my cup of tea) then Brighton Main Line is a must.

For something surprisingly different, why not try SF Peninsula Corridor with the two add ons, the MP 15 and Baby Bullet both fun locos.

Ruhr-Sieg Nord is a really good route, I canrecommend it. Especially if you also get the DB BR 155 locomotive and DB BR 363 shunter, as both add more traffic to the route and both are pretty good.

If you ever want to try some US stuff, the recent Sherman Hill is pretty good and atmospheric. Or if you're more passenger oriented, then Boston Sprinter or Peninsula Corridor.

    I’d recommend SEHS

Southeastern High Speed is a must if you love the electrostar. Also, if you did get this route, I strongly recommend the Class 465 DLC too as it's one of the best on TSW 2.

SEHS is a great route and has a mix of high speed and local commuter services.
The additional function of having to change power at Ebbsfleet adds another level to the sim.
Also, the Class 465 is a great addition (as others have said above). Although the included services using the 465 are mostly short runs, the unit is great and the sounds are spot on (they were sourced from Armstrong Powerhouse).

The only downsides to the route are that scenery is sometimes not as good as it could be and also the timings when running the 395 are very tight on some sections of the line but other than that, SEHS is a great route.

Ruhr Sieg Nord and SEHS as others recommend is a pretty solid choice.
MSB is also very good, although some scenery may be lacking.

Both RSN and MSB add a lot of traffic layers to other German routes.

Isn't the route considered kind of lame though if you're getting it for the commuter traffic? I'm pretty certain was tons of complaints about there not being much variety, and that they only ran on half the route. I also know there was tons of complaints about the 375 being pretty much a reskin of the Coastway 377, lacking some of the unique details it should've had.

It depends. While the route is A to B, there are multiple service patterns:
395 goes from St. Pancras to Faversham, which consists of fast section with up to 225 km/h and a power change at Ebsfeet.
375 has services from Gravesend to Rainham or Faversham and from Rochester to Gillingham and Faversham.

Overall, it is one of the best routes in my opinion, especially with class 465.

So many complaints on this forum, but so much fun to drive can be a recurring theme for some of the routes and DLC here. SEHS is very impressive IMHO.

I particularly love the 395; it has a unique cockpit and changes over power, measurement units, and safety systems en route. The 395 and the 465 are my two favorite UK locos and they both run SEHS.

The timetable for SEHS provides for lots of AI and services with adverse signals.

+ 1 for SEHS and RSN.

A route NOT to buy is West Cornwall Local, all other routes are worthy of buying.
Must Haves Southeastern High Speed, Munich-Augsburg, London Commuter and Cathcart Circle.

The only route I haven’t purchased yet, is Clinchfield, but I do have it on TS2022. I will possibly buy it once it achieves 50% off.

Routes I would like to see, are the Piccadilly Line and Manchester to Crewe via Stockport and Manchester Airport.

It depends on what you want to do in the future and your preferences.

First, if you don't have Rush Hour, it would be better to get London-Brighton and Riesa-Dresden, which IMO offer the best value for money and have the best up to date features and physics.

If you want to get more german content then consider RSN if you like freight and MSB is you like passenger. Both routes have good pax and freight services.

MSB adds a lot of passenger runs on other german routes, and RSN adds a lot of freight, but you should really get both IMO as not only they are very good, but make other DLCs a lot better, and RSN remains to this day (IMO) the route with the best freight timetable in the game.

IMO SEHS is somewhat underrated, it has a big scenery problem along HS1, which looks pretty bad, but the Class 395 is pretty fun, the services are pretty long (about 1h) and are really varied (high speed, 15/30mph section around Gillingham and then more 80/90mph running before Faversham), which is really unique, and on the 3rd rail part the scenery is fine. However if you get SEHS, I very highly recommend getting the Class 465 DLC (which is great) for the regional services, the 375 is not very good, especially compared to the London-Brighton Electrostars.

The 375/465 timetable is not the most varied (it's just an A-B route after all), but that doesn't mean it's bad, there is plenty of traffic and adverse signals, and you have the option to wait at Gillingham and Rainham and go back (so A-B-A runs), since the turnaround time is not much, but I'd say that the Gillingham runs are too short for me, only about 10/15m, the Rainham and Faversham services are a lot more fun.
