It says only available to purchase for US users. Has anyone downloaded this in the UK and will it work? Anyone know?
If you can add it to the cart, it should work. The description says it's restricted, but I could add it to my cart, also https://steamdb.info/sub/26907/history/
Ok TA will give it a try, thank you. I’d think there would be some unhappy customers if it didn’t work but thought I would ask before purchasing.
Doesn't say restricted for me in New Zealand. It didn't when it was released at about 8:30 am this morning. When I first checked earlier for it it wasn't released.
Yup, they fixed that, too Also updated the route name, by the way, now reads Marias Pass: Shelby - Whitefish
Just going to spill it here, something unusual for 6 years has happened. They are offering TS 2022 and Deluxe at 60% off as is. Thus no need to try being smart and wait for next September. Might seem desperate but I find it rather sensible. (Except for having some 15 DLC triggering my pickup threshold. No complaints, I'll hoard!)
Apparently in the blurb it says it is now available for worldwide release with [more BNSF?] stuff to come in 2022... Eric
The background on this is that I and others were waiting on Wednesday for the release, gabbing it up in Discord and on the forums. It didn't come at 1 p.m. ET as I expected with the sale starting, or even by 2. But shortly after, it did appear with the big discount, and was able to be purchased immediately. Previously, we could not view the page. The tag saying it could only be purchased in the U.S.A. remained. By this morning, it had been removed and the route title changed to include the names of the termini. That is what you see now. . The issue is that DTG is fibbing here. Marias was available worldwide from April 2013 until 2015 when the license changed (Stevens was around from November 2013 as well). So this is not the "first time worldwide".
Yes - the world of the railway enthusiast revolves around accuracy, not to mention a degree of transparency. Right.. I'm off to count some more rivets....
I wonder what changed... Has BNSF relented or has there been a deal struck regarding use of the BNSF logo??? Eric
They did say in the original press release but I cannot find that or remember exactly what was said but they said that BNSF wasn't involved in the decision or something like that.

I’ve still US routes I’ve not yet tried, but given it’s only a few pounds at the moment in the sale, I’ll definitely pick it up.
The answer is yes it will be coming due to the holiday's will need to be a little patient for it's release in the New Year.
... while I have no actual urgency with Stevens, my workshop queue would appreciate the SW1500 Then again, there are two imminent sales, so might not be important to pursue it after all. ... Maybe that's the point, steady revenue, something "new" every few months.
Everything to do with the BNSF embargo will be slowly appearing in their correct logos during 2022 even routes like Clear Creek will get their proper logos for those outside the USA. Just in case you missed it here are some logos that will be returning, Burlington Northern, Santa Fe, locos from DTM which we couldn't buy outside the US.
The downside with Stevens not being here now is you'll have to wait for a future sale to get it at a good price. At present, you'll probably see it at full price when it does appear. I kind of wish it and Marias both came at the same time, or several trains with Marias.
I'm surprised when they did the 3 routes to pick for unlocking that Tehachapi was considered - would've made more sense to go with Cajon pass seeing as you can still get Tehachapi worldwide.
Yeah, I would have thought that, too! Of course, it still would have lost, but might have stolen a few votes...
Just grabbed this 9 minutes before end of sale. How is this compared to the Canadian Mountain Passes? I was shocked to see so many positive reviews for it on Steam. Usually good routes tend to be filled with bad reviews.
Marias Pass is still at a reduced rate because it is an old route at $23.99 NZ as to a newly released route at $49.99 NZ.
