The Class 710 was intially introduced on the London Overground network in 2019 in order to replace the old Class 172 DMUs that operated in the Goblin Line, which was electrified in 2018. The Class 710 has also been used to replace the Class 315 and Class 317 EMUs on the Lea Valley and Romford-Upminster Lines. On the Watford DC Line, the Class 710s are being used to replace the Class 378 EMUs which are being cascaded to the North London and East London Lines. While the North London & Goblin Lines route would need a rework to electrify the Goblin Line to accomodate the Class 710s, electrifying the Goblin Line section on the original North London Line route would be feasable for the scenarios involving the Class 710. This could be done in the same manner as with the Clear Creek Log & Lumber pack, in which additional trees are added for the Log & Lumber scenarios. While not essential, it would make the scenarios a lot more accurate, as the 710s were not introduced until the Goblin line had been fully electrified. The Watford DC Line on the WCML South Route would also be a suitable route for scenarios involving the Class 710. Unlike the North London Line, no changes to the scenery or track would be needed to create realistic scenarios. If they are making one type of the Aventras why not make the other ones so TFL rail ones could have scenarios on GEML route, London Overground ones on the routes you mentioned above, Greatern Anglia on the GEML route, South Western Railway on the Portsmouth Direct Line Extension Route, LNWR's ones on the Cross City and WCML south routes.
We still need the 700 on the Thameslink. Updating London Bridge Station and making the route from Brighton through Blackfriars and the City Thameslink, to me, seems like a good excuse to do a 700. I'm not sure the Goblin has a lot of expansion without going outside the network, so the 710 would be nothing more than a loco DLC while the 700 would go with a route. I'd suggest the 700 first, but that's just my opinion. That said, the new track for the route I mentioned would be short, so they might have to include more city routes in and out.
Absolutely agree. though personally I'd prefer GA's 100mph Class 720 variant. The 710 would go nicely with an official NNL/GOBLIN Update.
