Hey folks, quick question. So I have a physical disk of TSW 2 for PS4 (which is the Collector's Edition), and I was able to use that to get the upgraded PS5 version of the game when that came along. I soon realized that it feels a bit meaningless to insert a PS4 disk to play the PS5 version of the game. Also, considering that TSW 2 is a game that I play quite a lot, perhaps I would like to go digital so that I don't have to insert the disk whenever I play it.

So basically, if I buy Train Sim World 2 on the PlayStation Store, will I still be able to use all of my add-ons and continue playing the game I already have without inserting a disk?

Sorry if this was phrased a bit poorly. Happy new year folks.

Edit: Hey, it’s me a few hours in the future. I decided to simply not be a chicken and ask PlayStation themselves. Anyways, I do in fact have the game fully digital now, so no need to interact with this thread.

You should be able to. I can't see any issue with it. I would think you'd have to buy the PS4 digital version though so that you don't lose those routes. It seems though that TSW2 collectors edition no longer exists on the PS Store so that might be an issue.
Only other issue with that would be the DLC size cap which many of us on PS5 are experiencing.

I would hope I could simply buy a regular copy of Train Sim World 2 to make it work. My main worry with that would be the Collector’s Edition routes (East Coastway, Peninsula Corridor and Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr). Although I guess it’s only $6 right now, it shouldn’t hurt to try, right?
