Well basically half of the east line is on Oakville Subdivision from Aldershot-Hamilton. Adding the rest of the line will bring the ability for via rail to be added. This route is 118KM and takes around 1 hour 21 minutes for go transit, an hour or so for via rail. Majority of this line has freight. Both CP and CN are on this route, giving this route alot of diversity. I see sround 200-400 services in total for all companys. *NOTE* there are also depot runs etc, the top speed of this route is around 100 mph, with GO Transit achieving 95 mph. And vis rail hitting 100 mph.
Are you planning to link this with OSD? DTG will take the shortcut of making GO transit coaches & MP54 MP40 by using Caltrain Baby Bullet Base model then Reskin. The only new thing they'll do is the GO Transit Cab Car
Yes, i believe they dont have Metrolinx/Go Transit license yet. Layering the baby bullet from peninsula corridor has so many inaccurates. One the company, 2 the locomotive that is used, but you get what i mean. To be honest its good were getting the Layer, it gives Oakville Subdivision a little more love since theres now passenger services.
I agree and you are wondering GO Transit is actually part of province of Ontario government under metrolinx division.
I'd love this. Every time I play Oakville Sub and see all the big empty GO stations I feel like it's a missed opportunity. That line feels kind of weird without GO trains ripping up and down... but that said they couldn't just be added in since it would be a little pointless to have GO without Union Station. So they'd have to start from scratch. They already at least have some of the work done though since they could re-use what they started with Oakville and they already have a MPI MPExpress from Caltrain (granted its a different model but it could be a good starting point).

that's not how licensing works more likely you would be going into plaigirsing and would look bad for dtg as a company for doing so and may tarnish there reputation. Its like copying a van gogh painting but changing it slightly and then selling it as a genuine van gogh painting
118 km would make this a candidate for the longest TSW2 route. I think the highest so far is 73 miles, or 117.48 km. I already posted a full Toronto idea complete with the CN Macmillan yard over on the TS side, but even just the GO Transit lines can be an idea for TSW2. I also saw a subways post somewhere on here, but I don't think DTG wants to explore subways as they are mostly featureless underground areas (though Toronto's does come up in the middle of Allen Road, which I've driven on before on the highway itself, and can eventually be seen crossing the 401 to get to their train yard). Toronto's would require one-time licensing from the TTC, and likely not worth it. I suspect that the passenger network has a better chance in TSW2 while freight mixed with some passenger might have a shot in TS. However, regarding the licensing thing, yes, using GO Transit does require a license. They can't just put the train in.
