Lets possibly have some possible "Emergency, Emergency, Emergency" moments so u need to put your train in emergency and lets have possible deailments and the cars come off of the axels.
I can see potential issues with this like simulating crashes ect I am quite happy with current approach to crashing which even Microsoft flight simulator 2020 does the same. Also just why would we want need it to have for an example an excel come off you would just stop and that would be it.
Not a fan. The game is about driving trains properly, if you want crash physics go to another game. Not mentioning the problems the dispatcher would have…
DTG has said that derails/crashes will never happen, period. The licensors don't want it and DTG doesn't want to do it.
You can derail by running through some points set against your direction of travel, including hand points on Cane Creek which should really just spring over. However you just get a pop up stating the scenario/run has ended, no graphic depiction. Which is how it should be. Start putting crash damage and rail vehicles across the landscape and watch all those real railway licences vanish quicker than you can say, "How many wheels off driver?" In other words if you want mayhem and carnage, this is not the game for you.
Honestly that would be a cool model, different emergency scenarios that would require you to react differently each time
If you are really into that, go for derail valley. Its fun and also has sim aspects, but the game is focused on economy, so there is a money system included. But non of its rolling stock is licenced and doesnt represent a specific brand.
then can we have moments to put trains into emergency nor derails tho, like an airhose breaks. i want to be able to tie airhoses
If you want emergency situations you need to use your imagination. You can imagine that there is something on the track ahead and apply the emergency brake, or you can simulate a fault on the train, but things on the track and derailments aren’t going to be simulated in the game. There should never be the possibility of your train striking something on the track while driving in the game for pleasure. Random events with less severe implications, such as faults and delays may make it to the game as many players have requested those but they won’t be game ending or real emergency situations.
