In Quick Drive, the offered train and route are the ones that you last drove, but in the career and standard tabs, there seem to be other defaults. In standard, it looks like it's the alphabetically first route in my collection that's listed, plus a Class 365 for some reason, but with career, it's always WCML South plus the 350/3 EMU that runs on it. I had presumed that this was because it was the UK route release for TS2021, which was the version I first bought, but the default route doesn't seem to have changed since I bought TS2022. Is there a way to change the route and loco to the last ones your drove in these two tabs, or at least change the defaults to a route I more normally use? That way it saves having to navigate to page 11 or whatever to find the train I want.
My Career menu displays the routes in alphabetical order (in my case Alaska RR is first) no matter what I last drove. Just an observation, sorry I cannot help with the question.
When I start the game I always get the same options Career Standard Quick Drive always gives me the last train and route I ran And if I want a train or route instead of going thru the pages I use the search box top right
I just put the cursor in the search box and delete what is still there. I Do this all the time with Quick Drive Click to find a loco choose from page 1 of 85 Click on the route and it's only 1 of 15
I had read - and have seen myself - that when you clear it, you don’t get a full repopulation of your lists. I have had to quit TS and reopen to get back to the full lists. Maybe time to try it again, in case it’s a glitch that’s been sorted!
Alphabetical order, Alaska always being on top in Career, and [WS] Castle Rock in Standard because of the bracket. I use the "Favourite" star to have the routes I currently play appear on top.
Had to bump this back up again. There is a way to sort the routes to your preferences. Some work involved. 1. Extract (copy not move!) the RouteProperties.xml from each route folder's MainContent.ap next to the MainContent.ap. If it is already unpacked, no need for this step. 2. Edit the RouteProperties.xml, preferably with Notepad++ as it keeps the correct encoding (e.g. ANSI, UTF-8...). Make a backup of the original just in case. 3. Locate the xml entry <DisplayName> (usually on top directly after </ID>, and edit the line <English d:type="cDeltaString">Route name</English>(or your language). 4. Modify it by giving it a number according to the position you want it to be. In this case, to have it on top, change it to <English d:type="cDeltaString">01. Route name</English> 5. Repeat this as you wish, next one being <English d:type="cDeltaString">02. Route name</English> As you just edit the DisplayName, everything will work as before.
I noticed after I ‘favourited’ a scenario to return to later, that WCML South has been bumped by Birmingham Cross City.
