Well, by that account, a lot of what is offered on other routes shouldn’t have been made. Like the GG1 for the Northeast Corridor for example.
It's completely normal to put old stuff on routes set in the modern day, this is no exception. Be happy that Seaboard U boats are included, so all the trains present will be backdated, just not the tracks themselves. I think M to WPB is probably the best route for this anyway. The other routes it would fit in with are either really old, not that popular, or BNSF.
Well, an E unit just uses two F unit engines, so the sounds should be the same as the F unit anyway. It’s not whether they reuse the sounds that would be the problem, it’s if the sounds are accurate to a 567 in the first place. And knowing how entitled some people are, those 567 sounds are “100% totally wrong sounds more like a GE than an EMD!”
E8's are looking good...what about some more liveries...like ATSF? Gotta say though, IMHO, an even more elegant, beautiful, and to date, totally forgotten by every train sim and third party developer, is the EMD E1/E3 & E6 series locomotives, my all-time favorite being the ATSF Warbonnet livery. Rode behind them many times in the 50's on the Chicagoan/ Kansas Citian out of Kansas City Union Station. Will DTG be the first? Always hopeful, Bill
I have seen several atractive reskins for E8s on Railworks America, but I cannot get the downloads to work. Too much file manipulating going on. Would like to see DTG come out with simple DLC (Missouri Pacific Colorado Eagle for instance)
