Dunno. What are you suggesting exactly? I have no knowledge of Chinese or Russian railways. My suggestion would be to have a read through this thread, then give your post an edit.
The problem with Russian routes, as I have found studying for Trainz is that they are huge in length. For some of the Karelia branches like the line to Kovdor, it can be 20km or more between passing loops and traffic density is measured in trains per week rather than days. There are a few interesting narrow gauge railways such as the Aspheronsk https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apsheronsk_narrow-gauge_railway , or tourist railways like the one along Lake Baikal https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circum-Baikal_Railway . One of my favourite locations is the BAM (Baikal Amur) railway where it crosses the mountains via two separate stretches between Severomuysk and Angarakan with one a straight shot through the Severomuysky Tunnel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Severomuysky_Tunnel or over the hills via an older section which climbs and spirals through the mountains. The problem with any Russian or Chinese route is going to be access and research plus licensing, even with local agents and you still have to factor in Covid.
Would be interested in older Chinese routes, perhaps only suburban is in the realms of possiblity. As for Russia... The main stations of Moscow are named for the first major city you reach with trains from there. They include Kursky, Leningradsky, Kazansky and Belorusskiy. In other words, maybe you can hope for part of a suburban route (in Moscow the full length ones run to over 100 miles sometimes). Never say never but licensing and research aside, it seems impractical, sorry.
I mean, I guess I would choose a Chinese route? I don’t know what a Russian route would be like, as the original poster has not included any details to inform me. I choose China just because my friend is Chinese and would be incredibly happy if he saw the Shanghai Metro in TSW. Perhaps I could make a suggestion for Line 1 someday, as I did a little bit of research on that previously, and it looks quite neat.
Russian route because some of the carriages can appear on Rhein-Ruhr Osten the Jan Kipura train with a RZD Coach Moscow belorussia station to Amsterdam Central via Minsk Warsaw Berlin Dortmund Hagen Wuppertal Köln Dusseldorf Duisburg Oberhausen-Arnhem Utrecht Amsterdam CS. EN452/453 has the Paris Est to Berlin Warsaw Minsk Moscow Sleeper train use Main Spessart Bahn Aschaffenburg-Gemünden with that calling at Aschaffenburg Hbf from Frankfurt Am Main Hbf. You might need to consider that the powerful locomotives in Russia are your twin section locomotives 2ES5 VL80 VL82 VL85
There's a distinct lack of suggestions for Russian and Chinese routes, so if anyone could make a detailed proposal, it would be nice.
Not at all, there are plenty of good suburban routes. For example, Moscow - Zelenograd route (40 km) with electric trains Siemens ("Lastochka") and Russian ICE3 ("Sapsan"). On the route you can meet Leningradsky railway station, Ostankino TV Tower, Moscow river, Kryukovo station (currently, it's been upgrading into the big transport node), beautiful forests and much more else. Besides, Moscow metro has one of the biggest subways in the world with it's unique rolling stock including Siemens on the Moscow Central Ring route. Also, the Moscow is the most developed city in Russia with one of the best transport systems in the world (3rd place), so you shouldn't search routes far away from there.
Is this part of Moscow St Petersburg Railway or not? If so the 2ES4K Donchak train locomotive do two things in the normal time table freight and Double Decker sleeper Coaches otherwise a double EP2K will be used.
That's due to the Ukraine War. If there were to be a scenario about Military trains these use a DR BR120 RZD M62 flat cars with T-90 special ones for T-14 Armata.
Good point but TSW 2 never had Military trains only TS 22 had them in the form of KWA wagon Warrior and Scorpion IFV. If you were watching CNN MSNBC part of NBC News Fox News US UK BBC ITV Sky Germany ARD/ZDF there will be footages of RZD Russian Railways KWA wagon with T-72B3 T-90 2S19 BMP IFV. The locomotive is a 2M62 twin section DR BR120 M62 Taigatrommel for Russian Railways some cases a TE109 locomotive The DR BR132 for Ruhr-Sieg Nord in original 1.520m tracks Russian Gauge others are TE10.
