I have no idea DTG really is sucking at anything they touch these days

it got a brief mention on the steam but nothing immediate so few more weeks away would be my sensible guess.

 

That's what was said about a month ago.

 

It's just a single livery maybe dtg is kicking themselves for saying it is free.Possibly sceaming away to still makes us pay something anyway.

LoL whats really bad is I met the actor who played the Sgt. in the movie at a comicon in Canada a few years back. He was there because he does the voice of Mr Krabbs in Spongebob.

Now I can't watch that movie without hearing Mr Krabbs everytime he talks.

And yes I did ask him to say some lines from Shawshank in the voice so it is my own fault.

The fact its still not out shows how incompetent DTG are.

 

Why? Was a date given? It's been a month since it was announced and that's usual for DTG from announcement to release if it's all going to plan. There has been Christmas break as well.

Love how people will even complain about a free giveaway that never even had an announced release date. Smh.

 

They claimed it was supposed to be with the last update.

 

Well they also claim they actually test there dlc before release.But some of us weren't born yesterday.

OK, I'm 39 years old, and I've never figured out why people still buy/play something they hate. If you don't enjoy it, uninstall it.

 

Free livery delayed for months, paid dlc shot out in days half finished. "Its the DTG way"

The Amtrak livery never had a date...

 

It's OK as I cannot figure out that there are people out there who have lived for 39years without being able to tell the difference between people that hate a product from other people who are incredibly frustrated with a product because of glaring issues

 

Didn't they say "Before Xmas" I thought the whole thing was it was a gift for players for Xmas.

 

Rush hour, all the routes that take months on end to fix. Feels like any dlc since the ps5/xboxxx version have massive bugs that show they arnt tested and shoved out to make as much $$$ fast as possible.

 

Until further notice, that will remain a mystery.

 

Being frustrated is one thing, I've been there myself but there are people complaining about a free update that or saying that the game is dead etc etc and always go on about how they hate the game but still they go on it. I hated Last of us, So I uninstalled it and moved on with my life, Imagine of I went on Last of us forums just to complain how much I hate it.

 

What was the reason? Not enough improvement? Just curious.

Maybe DTG should stop making announcements regarding future releases until they are actually ready for release.

 

They said it’s next arrival on the Roadmap before Christmas

 

The livery was almost done and everything went right till there was a technical problem and now its waiting to release.

 

Funny how a FREE livery is such a pain for them but a paid dlc is rushed out the door ready or not.

 

It was when the update for Rush Hour first came out and I lost all the routes I'd paid for.

 

TS doesn't have timetable mode.

 

It's taking long because of issues with getting it to work in the timetable, not the livery itself.

 

Maybe will get it when amtrak turns 150 dtg should be able to ad a few 1's plus they have 99yrs a 4mth to get it ready.

Honestly whenever they release it,most of us won't notice are even care about it anymore. Dtg has bigger problems to deal with this year.

 

I have to agree. The bloom is off the rose on this one. The initial excitement ( which I shared ) was for a Christmas gift. In January, the thrill is gone.

 

Well personally I'm still looking forward to it. I havn't driven Boston Sprinter for a while (was busy driving Sherman Hill and Arosalinie), it will be a good reason to visit the route again, whenever if releases.

 

Same for me, always nice to have an extra livery. Especially this one in the old amtrak look.

 

Did you get them back? Did you put in a ticket to the help desk? Just wonder since I have been a user of TS Classic since it was Railsimulator and have had the TSW franchise since it was released as Sand Patch Grade. Never had a problem in well over 10 years of updates where I ever lost any paid nor third party or freeware DLC in either. Are you on PC or a console… I have heard the distribution for consoles, which is not under the directly control of DTG, has been problematic.

 

This thread is borderline hilarious. Never was a release date given, it was next arrival on the RM before Christmas - which also covered the Christmas break, when everyone was off - now it's just in DTG Releases. The fact people are complaining about a **Free** livery update being worked on is hilarious. Do you want stuff rushed out or not? Routes - any payed DLC, actually - have deadlines internally, and I doubt they have much room to work with them.

A release date was never announced, so as far as we know, it's not delayed.

They might announce it or release it during the festival of rail stream, I think

 

That could make sense, as there is a Boston Sprinter 'Let's Play' during it, so that could be a good platform to showcase the livery on. I guess we'll see.

I've just received the free update for the Amtrak 50th anniversary livery and I'm speechless. I don't know what to say. All I can say is Dovetail you've done an amazing job creating this livery especially as it's sponsored by Train Sim World 2. Wow! Thanks again dovetail for making brilliant routes and locos for us to enjoy especially this one. Many thanks from Isaac101
