I've been dusting off my collection of trains in Train Simulator to see which ones I really enjoyed driving and I have been missing those since I made the move to Train Sim World. I'd love to see any of these trains make a reappearance in TSW.
ÖBB 1293 001-085 from the Karawanken Bahn Villach Tarvis Ljubljana Route. The second batch of this locomotives 173-200 have equipment for Duisburg Oberhausen-Arnhem Railway and Brussels Midi Aachen railway. Another TS 22 locomotive that should be in TSW2 is a Paid DLC the Sprinter SNG if Just Trains and Chris Trains make Amsterdam Utrecht Arnhem Railway. DB BR189 Moselle Bahn Trier Koblenz the way they get out of Germany is through Duisburg-Oberhausen-Arnhem Railway to Zevenaar.
Ditto on the Gas Turbine. I still think that the new Sherman Hill route needs a vintage loco pack with the GTELs and maybe a GP7/GP9, GP20, SD24/SD24B, GP30, and/or GP35. The Class 55 Deltic is also a must for me.
Looe branch with the Steam railmotor would be a nice little budget package. I think much will depend whether the original authors of these items are willing to rework their creations for TSW. We are in a similar situation to MSFS where there are a host of classic airliners that can be flown in FS9 or FSX which haven’t seen the light of day in the new sim. Aircraft like the DC10 or Tristar.
I believe it was Victory Works who did the Steam railmotor, and they pretty much specialize in steam traction. So at the moment there's no point for them getting involved with TSW, as it doesn't support steam traction yet. Lets hope that all changes soonish. I guess it takes some time for both the third parties to learn the skills, and the newer platform to gain a stable playerbase. Took a few years before the first third parties developed for TSW. Took a few years before TSW got a decent sized playerbase and was able to compete with the older TS (which still has a pretty big playerbase it seems)
