So it seems whenever I want to launch a service with any locos, the game crashes (whilst on the loading screen) with the following message: Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x0000000000000000 TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping TS2Prototype_Win64_Shipping kernel32 ntdll This started happening yesterday. No mods are installed, also reinstalled the whole game/verified the files. When the route came out, these services worked. Any ideas?
Confirmed by me as well as mentioned on my similar thread in PC discussion. Exactly the same error message. I have completely reinstalled my PC from scratch with windows 10 reinstalling ONLY Epic and TSW2 (besides fresh up to date drivers for all HW). No mods, no overclocking or tweaking and all timetable runs and "explore on foot" crashes Unreal Engine approx 3 seconds after trying to start the run from the menu. It seems NOT to be related to any past settings or achievements as my new installation is with a new user account and my progress in TSW2 is now reset back to lvl 1. Its important to notice that this ONLY happens on Tharandter Rampe route - every other route and loco I have works flawlessly and I have never experienced a crash in TSW2 before... I have all German routes, Rush Hour and a couple of US/UK routes and locos. Positive thing for me is that I took the plunge and completely reinstalled windows on a new partition on my SSD - wanted to do that for a long time but did´nt have the urge to do it until now Wishes for a quick resolution C
When did you buy the route? Did it work before? Mine only started playing up last night, and I bought it the day it came out. I'm updating my driver now to see if it solves the issue, I remember I updated it on Saturday, and I haven't played since then. Does your rig have a GeForce card?
Don't know if it's related but saw a thread on the playstation forum with an almost identical issue and removing Risa-Dresden was the work around. Might be worth a try.
BINGO - Removed Dresden Riesa DLC and now services and timetable runs work At least I can now enjoy those until the bug gets fixed THANKS Matt
You're welcome. It's really weird, mine is working fine with this installed but it seems to just stop at some point. Really interested to know what is causing it and hope it gets fixed soon.
