The old default weather tends to be terribly dark. Could upload more but these two demonstrate enough. Your weather choice appears to be cloudy / overcast / foggy / rainy. Most of these work better - quite moody in fact - if the room is dark, and of course without the white frame like on these forums. Here is an old shot from the ECML: Here is a new shot of mine from a "clear weather" Donner Pass scenario (standard / career differs) - and this is one I kept as "best 50":
The strange thing is that they look fine when opened as a file on the computer, they just appear so much darker once uploaded here. I do tend to prefer cloudy, rainy, stormy weather, but even so, I can still make things out fine in the game and screenshots.
Do they feel better with a dark background? Did a bit of F12 "redesign" Not a fan of this really bright stuff myself.
Train jam at Castle Cary. The delayed eastbound HST has the WCRC railtour hauled by 50049 and 50007 stopped at a ground-level signal waiting for the line to clear.
Keeping with a winter theme, here's a newly released Caledonia Works LNER J26 (round window variant), in BR livery, delivering girders along Weardale and Teesdale. This is one of six scenarios Golden Age Development created for the J26/J27. Sadly, I didn't complete the scenario. Not far from its destination, the train derailed due to a turnout setting. Whether it's a glitch or something I should have been looking out for I've no idea. I used CW's new auto-fireman function for the duration. It works quite well:
Two further Caledonia Works LNER J26 images along the Weardale and Teesdale, this time from another of the six Golden Age Development scenarios:
1) Pooches from Provo - An Amtrak P30CH set takes the Zephyr towards Soldier Summit 2) REx to Trier - A BR 6/928 meets a 143 with a short freight 3) Rainbow Era - Old times on the Colorado Joint Line (Castle Rock) 4) Break Time - A Class 08 parks between assignments at Grangemouth 5) Coast to Coast - Donner Pass is where my TS attachment really started, this being the very first scene
Oh well the good ole Director Special. Chose to equip this with Reppo's GP20. Don't know how much mileage I have on this, being one of the first DLC I purchased..
Found this on flickr and decided to remake it. Dante, VA (Clinchfield Railroad) https://www.flickr.com/photos/39110...iDdL6Y-N9uHeE-2mUqXJv-2ghtasA-2mJUmzs-2kK9ZDE
A GCR class 8K (during its LNER days) travels North Lincolnshire route. This was a QD to test DT's newly released, as of 21 Jan 2022, FishTrainPack. (Ironically, CW coincidentally released its own Fish Wagon Pack within hours of DT's.) No, the new wagons aren't seen below. The several images I captured showing them didn't pass muster for presentation to the public. I'll say this, the DT wagons are appreciably noisy . . . there's always something to hear as they 'glide' atop the rails:
My previous DT FishTrain post being such a 'hit', I figure I better provide a glimpse of them, even if only one variant. Here we see, yet again, an LNER J26/27, hauling fish along TobBirk's Enhanced Falmouth Branch:
Nice shots. There is a thread already set up specifically for North Wales Coastal screenshots. Might be nice to share your images there. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/show-me-your-north-wales-coast-line-screenshots.51233/
Scribble a little Rembrandt signature at the bottom of some prints, and I am sure that someone, somewhere will buy them from you
Stranraer, Port Road. Beware. RhB Ge 6/6I ("Rhaetian Crocodile", a superb addon!), Davos, Heidi Express
Cracking shots, well done. Where did you find that amazing Crocodile & coach rake? They look stunning.
Just ran a scenario I found on ATS, OMG just loved the amount of varied AI used, talk about eye candy. https://alanthomsonsim.com/downloads/rs-37429-1g96-0853-holyhead-wolverhampton-2000/ Your chariot for the day is ........... Just after leaving Crewe you are overtaken by......... Soon after this heads towards you ........ and then this ............. and this ..............
Then this.............. and this ............. Arrive at Stafford and then .... Some freight for good measure............. and finally arrive at Wolverhampton. Phew I'm exhausted, I think I spent more time out of the cab taking Screenshots, than I did actual driving LOL.
It's great that AP puts snow on the bogies and underframe of the 37, would be an added bonus if they could added that feature to their coaches. I had a 37 hauled train in the Highlands - the pristine coaches looked a bid odd next to the snowy 37.
Amazing shots! I followed the link and was trying to find out about the base route - WCML Midland and Northwest. It wasn't linked, so I searched, but what came up were only short items saying the route had been updated. Can anyone help locate the route on ATS? They don't exactly make it easy to search!
Popping through my many TS screenshots I came across this. I was running a scenario on the DPS North East England route and was scrolling through the destination blind setting up the train at Darlington. Running another scenario on the ATS released Leeds Lines v2 I came across this. Both are AP packs. I wonder if he's a sci-fi fan, lol.
Picking / reviewing the pictures for today I noticed something common... 1) Class 55 leaving Newcastle (during Blue Monday) 2) Class 47 wearing a big logo with a colorful string of tanks approaching Darlington (during Grey All Around) 3) Class 101 not far yet from Portsmouth 4) Class 43 at Stevenage 5) Class 33 crossing the valleys having left Bristol not long ago
