so i just downloaded the game and i wanted to play the tutorial but it just stayed on the backround screen and never loads. i checked task manager and it says 0 percent disk usage.
I don't know if that helps but try running Steam as administrator once, start TS. Maybe it needs to update something it needs admin rights for on first run. If it works, you should be able to play normally on second run without admin rights. If that does not help contact DTG support.
Yes the game does load but when I try to go to the tutorial the game stays on the background screen I also tried to reinstall the game to c drive
Can you open E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Content\Routes folder and check if there's a folder called 00000050-0000-0000-0000-000000002014? And also does E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\RailWorks\Assets\DTG\Academy exist? And anyway (thought that would not be necessary on a fresh install, but try all options available), go to your Steam Library, right-click Train Simulator and select Properties. Press "Verify integrity of game files".
Got me puzzled. Academy is a standard asset. Contact the DTG support. I suppose you have the full version not some of the standalone DLC available (Count of Monster Disco or such)?
yes i bought the train simulator uk edition through steam it came with the uk trains along with the standard trains simulator
Ooooooh! Thanks for that screen. You should play the scenarios on the left tab that says "Academy". Your tutorial page will fill up with DLC being added, some (not all) have tutorials for their locos. Everything is ok, don't worry. When you have more DLC it'll look like this. The Academy is Train Simulator's own tutorial, and DLC you purchase add theirs in the "Tutorial" tab.
I wonder - am I right in thinking the tutorials tab is only populated by certain DLC? denz - if you click on the Academy tab, you should see tutorials on diesel, steam, electric?
Does not matter which pack of TS you buy off of Steam Academy is a standard part of TS. I would submit a ticket to DTG as something did not install properly.
Because there are no tutorial scenarios in the UK pack's DLC. The left tab "Academy" should have scenarios though. denz006 do you have the scenarios in the Academy tab? If yes then everything is fine.
