Maybe the GWR Hall class or the Large prairie on the west somerset line i really want steam trains when are they comin
My ideas: -Big Boy, Challenger, FEFs, and 4-12-2s on the new UP Sherman Hill -B&O on Sand Patch w/ EM-1s and others -PRR on the new Horseshoe Curve: H10s, J1s, M1a/M1bs, K4s, T1 Duplexes
Personally, I would prefer to start driving smaller designs like an 0-4-0 or 0-6-0 as bringing steam traction in to a game like TSW/TSW2 will be hard.. hence why we for the last 2 or so years, we've been getting a mix of diesel and electric locomotives/MUs I would love to see mainline steam in the game as I would really love to drive an LNER A4 or BR Standard 7 but I guess we'll have so see next year when Spirit of Steam releases..
My top three being British would be: BR Standard Class 9F (Because its big) LNER Gresley A4 (I want to beat the speed record) LMS Stanier Black 5 (Always loved them) Which to be honest I think this list is pretty standard so I would like throw in a 4th more unorthadox choice, Lambaton Coilliery 0-6-2-T's.
My current signature says it all, though I too prefer the challenge of driving smaller locos on heavy trains. For the UK there is considerable scope for tank engines, whether the humble Jinty or the LMS or BR 2-6-2T, 2-6-4T types.
For the UK, the riviera line in the fifties is my biggest wish, with some of the famous GWR express engines such as the Castles and Kings, complemented with pannier tanks and prairies.
Being a southern boy and local to the Bluebell line I'd love to see some Terriers (A1/A1X) maybe hayling branch? maybe a bulleid of some description? I'd also love 4mt tank engine, Standard class 5 like camelot or maybe a SECR locomotive as they're liveries are beautiful! Bit of an extensive wishlist
United States the Union Pacific Big Boy Challenger CSX Seaboard Line 544 Norfolk Southern N&W 611 UK GWR Olton Hall 57xx & 14xx Germany Deutsche Bundesbahn 086 095 044 052 & 010. 095 can be used in Main Spessart Bahn Aschaffenburg-Gemünden 1950s with DB BR194 150 110.
I agree! My parents wedding train was pulled by 80064 and I've seen 80151 a lot at the bluebell, plus a 4mt was my first N gauge model so I have a bit of a soft spot for them lmao!
The GWR Hall class for wsr is my biggest wish after that I'm happy with whatever. And I guarantee it'll be an add-on I'll have to purchase.
Thats awesome! When I'm done at University I really want to be able to do some volunteering in the loco department at the bluebell
German Democratic Republic DDR steam engines too these will change Dresden Chemnitz Tharandter Rampe route. When these were running the route Chemnitz is written as Karl Marx Stadt.
My favourite British steam locomotives (not listed in chronological order): GWR (Dukedog) Class 4 - 4 - 0 3440 City of Truro GWR Dukedog Class 4 - 4 - 0 9017 Earl of Berkeley LMS Royal Scot Class LNER A1 Peppercorn 4 - 6 - 2 60163 Tornado LNER A3 Pacific 4 - 6 - 2 4472/60103 Flying Scotsman LNER V2 4771/60800 Green Arrow LNER B1 61306 Mayflower
There's a name for it Belle from Thomas and friends Just need another one of her design 2-6-4 an Ivatt Tank engine 2mt Arthur. German designs a West german DB BR086 095 Main Spessart Bahn 1950s pack. Dresden Chemnitz Tharandter Rampe DR 65.10 with Chemnitz being renamed as Karl Marx Stadt to fit GDR era
Consider adding in Ivatt 2MT Arthur and 4MT Standard Belle since the first steam route is West Coast main line Liverpool to Crewe these will be working the line. For GWML London Paddington to reading add in Autocoach Alice Dulcie and Isabel for Duck GWR 57xx and GWR 14xx Oliver when running freight Duck and Oliver needs toad brakevan on the back. German steam locomotives might as well introduce DB BR010 Freida and coworkers DB BR 086 TS22 classic Wutachtalbahn route DB BR095 Main Spessart Bahn Aschaffenburg-Gemünden 1950s all of them are from West Germany. German Democratic Republic DDR DR18 201 DR 65.10 DR52.80 Tharandter Rampe Dresden Karl Marx Stadt (Chemnitz) Italian steam locomotives FNM 200 Gina FS 743 Lorenzo of these FNM 200 Gina does also run Milano Chiasso Railway. where she meets a modern Swiss locomotive Re474 ES64F4 inside the massive FFS Chiasso yard and also the Stadler Rabe 501 low floor train Rabe 503 Pendolino.
Excellent Idea and I'm thinking of DR 23.10 DR 65.10 and a DR 37.10 The last one I had a Marklin Model with Ibhpps reefer wagon. Here's a 23.10 DR East Germany these work well with Dresden Chemnitz & Riesa-Dresden due to water towers on the route
To be hostess WSR don’t have a hall anymore they have like 2 manors that’s it and a mogul and a large prairie 5199
I think a few WW2 era engines from Germany are still in maine line operation somewhere in the bulkan aria.
Electric Steam locomotive and this suits Luzern Sursee wee as a Plandampf. Current manufacturer of this technology is Switzerland Winterhur DLM and DR Rekolok 52 8055 is an example of Electric Steam locomotive for Tharandter Rampe & Riesa-Dresden. For Tharandter Rampe schedule will be round trip Dresden Altstadt to Chemnitz Hillbersdorf on steam locomotive
To add on, I think that one of the two are still in operation without the pantagraph at a heritage railway.
You mean GWR Class 5972 Olton Hall with British Railways Mk1 coaches. For me a German Deutsche Reichsbahn DDR Steam locmotive that way Riesa-Dresden and Tharandter Rampe have railtour trips
Ok then and if so Luzern Sursee ends up being a Swiss steam route if the heritage railway is connected to Luzern Sursee Olten line
Adams o2 tanks locomotive for the Isle of Wight in steam days in Southern and BR and one for heritage W24 in the photos. Can also run on LSWR lines in a different view and Southern and BR
My list contain extinct steam locomotives: Boston & Maine T-1 Berkshires 2-8-4 Union Pacific 7000 Class 4-8-2 Clinchfield Railroad K-4 Class 2-8-2 Spokane Portland & Seattle Z-6 Class to Z-8 Class 4-6-6-4 Challengers.
Do you mean 4MT Belle Bullieds Q1 Neville or SR Battle of Britain Rebbeca type? Here's a Bullied Q1 Neville type 4MT 2-6-4 is this Creators club Blue and Red paint can be done as an homage to belle
