    Class 700 Issues list (Detailed):
    1. AWS should alert when the master key is inserted, not when the reverser is put in forwards (removed - see post #6)
    2. Signal Bell not working
    3. Motors don't cut off at 0% throttle (Present issue on DC consist)
    4. Motors don't get quieter as you get faster so you're left with a loud UFO all the way through (Present issue on DC consist)
    5. No track joint sounds (including track switches)
    6. Door Closing alarm is the same as Door Opening Alarm
    7. The whine doesn't change pitch as you gain speed
    8. The sounds are quiet
    9. Doesn't sound like a Class 700 (recycled sound issue on AC consist like the Class 395)
    10. The braking squeals not right (recycled sound also)
    11. Controls echo inside the tunnel
    Other issues/gripes:
    1. Safety Systems not simulated (Automatic Train Operation only, but AWS/TPWS is simulated fine)
    2. "Placeholder Image" of the train on the manual from Steam Store, but no problem on the included manual

    Notes:
    1. Only compiled the issues from I read on this forum and Steam reviews about the Class 700 (also my experienced issues), posted on the appropriate section of the forum (Technical Reports) and also tested before posting.
    2. I cannot screen record the issues as of the moment because I don't have a FB gaming page for Train simulation stuff (as I don't use YouTube for creating videos), but I can upload the video of the issue on a later date.
    3. I haven't tried the included scenarios yet except Quick Drive (Tests performed on recently released Chatham Main Line and Midland Main Line London - Bedford).
    4. I will post in this thread if there are more issues.

    I'm going to have nightmares about this DLC tonight.
    I hope they fix these issues soon, as well as the Class 323 sounds that are still problematic.

    I would agree with all of the above. The AC mode is just about driveable. The sounds are a bit yuk, but at least they function properly. On DC it's terrible. Totally undriveable. That constant UFO noise does my head in and there's no running sounds. DTG, this is really poor. I don't expect AP level sounds, but at least mix what you have properly so that it sounds roughly right.

    The only other thing I'd add that's not mentioned above is that I'd really like to have the DSD use the E key and not Q. I use TS Controllers and have an AWS plunger and a DSD plunger and right now I have to press the AWS one to cancel the DSD as it's not programmable for each train. Let's keep things consistent please!

    I don't have this DLC, and will surely not buy as I've become very suspicious of DTG's inhouse produced content, but you can always edit the appropriate InputMapper file and reconfigure your keys. This is usually found in Railworks\Assets\DTG\<Product>\InputMappers\<loco>.bin.

    You have to convert it to xml by dragging it over Railworks\serz.exe, then edit your keys.

    <iInputMapper-cInputMapEntry d:id="504109">
    <State d:type="sInt32">0</State>
    <Device d:type="cDeltaString">Keyboard</Device>
    <ButtonState d:type="cDeltaString">ButtonDown</ButtonState>
    <Button d:type="cDeltaString">Key_Q</Button>
    <ShiftButton d:type="cDeltaString">NoShift</ShiftButton>
    <Axis d:type="cDeltaString">NoAxis</Axis>
    <Name d:type="cDeltaString">IncreaseControlStart</Name>
    <Parameter d:type="cDeltaString">AWSReset</Parameter>
    <NewState d:type="sInt32">0</NewState>
    </iInputMapper-cInputMapEntry>
    <iInputMapper-cInputMapEntry d:id="504119">
    <State d:type="sInt32">0</State>
    <Device d:type="cDeltaString">Keyboard</Device>
    <ButtonState d:type="cDeltaString">ButtonUp</ButtonState>
    <Button d:type="cDeltaString">Key_Q</Button>
    <ShiftButton d:type="cDeltaString">NoShift</ShiftButton>
    <Axis d:type="cDeltaString">NoAxis</Axis>
    <Name d:type="cDeltaString">DecreaseControlStart</Name>
    <Parameter d:type="cDeltaString">AWSReset</Parameter>
    <NewState d:type="sInt32">0</NewState>
    </iInputMapper-cInputMapEntry>

    You would substitute Key_Q with Key_E (supposed it's not already in use). Note that there may be multiple entries for key press, key release, shift and control.

    Search for DSDReset in the file accordingly.

    Then use serz.exe again to compile the .bin.

    In another thread somebody said the AWS test should sound after the key is inserted and the Direction Switch moved to Neutral.

    the signal bell not working is correct for this train as they are DOO trains it would only be needed if someone did a SWT/SWR repaint to turn it into a 707 as the are GOO

    Or as as Basil Fawlty said to the environmental health inspector...but apart from that everything else is ok?

    Does anybody know if DTG have acknowledged any of these faults mentioned yet, and if so are they planning on any fixes in the near future?

    No, but if tickets are created there's a good chance of DTG fixing the issues on newly released DLC.

    By now every man and his dog know of the issues, I for one certainly don't need (or want) to watch a 2hr 17min video of it.

    I think this is more about self promotion than the 700.

    I sent a ticket in to DTG regarding I think most of these issues shown in your video but unfortunately I can't check ticket status (After receiving email confirmation) as the login now doesn't recognize my details for some inexplicable reason? The email did state they were experiencing very high demand for support so will be a delayed response! As I cannot now check my ticket status I shall wait to see if I do indeed get a follow up email back.

    Regards

    I am hoping that the community manager of Train Simulator gives a written update in time. Community Management is about engagement. People have paid money for this DLC and if this was a retail outlet it would be taken back under the sale of goods act 1979 that what is sold is satisfactory quality and fit for purpose and this DLC is clearly not and so is the class 323.

    Don't hold your breath, and if Jamie (the one who always draws the short straw in having to deal with us non TSWers) responds it will be a generic nigh on patronising attempt to placate us by vaguely telling us "we are aware of some minor issues and it's being looked into"

    The AWS test should sound after the key is inserted because the direction switch will already be in Neutral; there is no off position so as soon as the key is in it livens you the cab.

    However the TPWS panel is a Mk4 so should have softer horn/bells (even softer than the 387s if TSW is accurate), the voice after the self test and the voice after the DRA is reset.

    Thanks for the clarification - I was used to driving units that had an Off for the direction switch.
    Then again the even older units just had Fwd - Neutral and Rev

    Yeah - it's the only unit I know of that's in service today that doesn't have an OFF setting too, bit of an odd one.

    Interesting that there are older units that didn't have it, never knew!
