Dream on. Whilst it would be nice and has been suggested before, it is such a new railway it is very hard to build a proper accurate route, also considering what other thinks people would like DTG to do (SoS mainly).
If made this 3 miles 5km shorter than Sherman Hill 76mi 121 km since this is only 116km 73 mi. Another thing about the core section it's that if you are not careful you will instantly fail for doing stop signal overrun (SSO) the American NTSB terminology for a British Rail accident investigation board SPAD signal passed at Danger.
