    Hi
I just saw Nat put up the stream for this coming week? What do you think it's going to be on? Do you think that they will talk about the Update to the Preservation?

Doubtful. If it's a preview it'll likely be for the New Journeys thing.

I thought Horseshoe Curve was delayed indefinitely? They mentioned it in the last roadmap, put it back into production even behind the unspecified Swiss route from Rivet.

Yeah but it wasn't a 'proper' preview, it was a pre-recorded video that only showed off one and a bit things, Matt saying that the rest will be shown at the actual preview.

Fair enough but Matt also did say that things were not ready to show off entirely. I guess we will be guessing until they tell us what it will be.

The preview will if pattern is followed be streamed on the Tuesday before the Thursday release, and it isn't releasing this Thursday.

given that the roadmap was 90% preservation update (or lack of) I dont think they will want to touch that subject again just a week later unless anything policywise has dramatically changed and they have good news to share.

Im hopeful of a tutorial on US signalling, I could do with a Matt powerpoint special.

imagine we are going to get the preservation crew update this Tuesday, while they are streaming the changes made of most of the route. That would be amazing. :D

Given the reaction on the forum what you say would be wise and most welcome. I'd love to get back playing the game if they released the updates to the route I'm waiting for(GWE) but would prefer it if they released them in the other order the routes were released in the first place.

You're in luck; GWE is the second-oldest route after Sand Patch.

Is it? I knew it was an old route, (an feels like it) but don't mind waiting for Sand Patch given that it is older.

It's going to be Matt driving a real steam locomotive on the west coast mainline, with Doctor Who being the fireman.

I was more thinking of the classic Doctors who either didn't have one, or had a rather basic version (well, basic compared to the get out of jail free card now).

When do they announce what is on the stream? I thought it was a day earlier, perhaps DTG don't want the 'feedback' ?

Nat just update what it was tomorrow, and it's basically no new update, It said Let's Play with Matt, which is not what we were hoping for. That is Bummer and I don't think it is what the community wants unless they told us the update for the preservation crew update is also downloadable tomorrow. So far disappointing :|:|:(:(:(

Perhaps they should address owners off Riesa-Dresden on why it didn't add layers to Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr and Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen even though it's supposed to that includes owners of the original version of MRCE BR185.5 Rhein-Ruhr Osten

Um, no. New routes don't add layers to older routes. Only vice-versa.

Talk for yourself, not others. I'm personally happy it's a let's play w/ Matt, they're always relaxed streams.

Plus, it was never said today's stream was a preview of anything, so you set up false expectations for yourself more than anything.

Well, we've been told many times over, for months, that the updates are ready, just need to go thru QA. When asking DTG about fixes, the reply is often "it has already been fixed by Adam's Crew", yet such fixes never got to us. So it is NOT fixed, is it?
Try playing like this with an heroin addict. I bet he'll shank you right away.
The impatient forum users you talk about are just fed up with DTG taking the piss.

It does come across as a bit pathetic expecting every stream to be an update on the preservation crew stuff, especially when we've just had a comprehensive one - it's incredibly unlikely to have changed in that time-frame anyway, and then posing a load of sad face/angry emojis when it turns out the stream won't be that.

It's like watching the news, and then watching it again on catch-up, expecting it to be different.

I don’t know what you were expecting. You were hoping for an update on Preservation Crew work but you must know by now we only get those updates on roadmap streams. The roadmap stream was last week and there will be another next week. If this is a huge disappointment to you then I worry what might happen if there is some actual bad news. Your enthusiasm for the game is great but things don’t happen quickly in TSW so you need to be more patient and wait for things to happen rather than wanting to know what every next move is and filling the forum with these random speculations that you then get disappointed about when they don’t turn out how you imagined.

stujoy Yeah your right, I should just let it run its course, and tone it down, it's just that you know when you get over-excited and have the feeling that it may come, and then disappointed when it didn't come. Isn't that what people feel normally in other content as well? The title that Nat put TBC probably got me, and that's why when I saw the title and overreact after finding out what it was. But yeah I have to calm down. Thanks for letting me know

We all get excited and frusrated with this game from time to time ;)
That just shows how much we really care and want it to be the best it can be. For all my opinions about broken sounds in preserved routes and what not, I really love this game and can't leave it alone :D

Wow so even though DTG never promised an update for tonight and we had an update just last week, even if it wasnt what we expected to hear. People are in uproar that theres no update stream tonight?

Just exactly what do you think has changed in the last 7 days?

That they've gone a head and recruited and trained 1000 new QA testers, who have marched through all the updates and found zero issues. That they told Sony & MS that they are rolling out a new mega patch across 17 DLC and core routes with just hours notice, and that these mega conglomerates had better suck it up? Just so they can have a stream tonight to confirm all 17 PC updates are being installed on all platforms as we speak?

Is that what you was expecting?

I didn't expect anything new about the pres updates but a time line of when they will be released would have been nice and they could do that on the forum. I don't mean an exact date either but something like 'in the coming days/weeks updates will be released' Is that too much to ask for?

I liked last night's stream, Matt drove the 155 pulling loads of white cars down the ramp, and it made me want to try it. win-win.

I expect some spend more time speculating on the forums than playing the game.
    I enjoyed the stream.
Good to see Matt enjoying himself in that empty barn of an office.
At least he sat in the teachers position...

I enjoyed the stream as well. Matt looked like he was genuinely enjoying himself.

I have to say I didn’t make it through the whole stream being an hour ahead of the UK, it went on a bit late, so I‘ll catch Sand Patch later.

These are my favourite type of stream and personally I‘d like more of them. It‘s fun to see how different people play the game. Especially the difference between Matt and Sam.

Yeah, I liked the little details like how Matt decided to use PZB mode U because the cars were heavy. But Sam's a great streamer as well, obviously. (also the tip about needing to hold PZB Acknowledge down slightly longer on the 155 because otherwise the lever doesn't move fully forwards).
I only watched the first route in the stream, due to time and also not being as excited about the other 2 routes he drove, despite owning them (but different people like different things, obviously).

In general, I don't release the PZB/Sifa/AWS/Alerter button until the on-screen acknowledgement pops up; a tap often doesn't register.

Or (for PZB) until you hear the sound confirming that you used the acknowledge switch - either a beep or a spoken Zugbeeinflussung.

I tried to watch but just kept falling asleep. Got most of Cathcart I think and a bit of the US route. :|
