Hi all, i am very new to Train Simulator so please go easy on me! I have just bought the AP Class 444/450 to upgrade my stock 444/450's and after printing out the manual and having a good read through it i have a question about the cab light switch. I want to keep the cab operation as immersive as possible (so trying not to use shortcuts unless necessary, only clicking interactive buttons etc). I have also noticed when needing to press L for the cab light, the switch depresses, (the manual says "correct push button functionality" under the bits and bobs section which supports this). However, i am trying to use the available switches and buttons where possible and i cannot figure out how to press the switch to turn on the cab light. I have tried left and right clicking it and click and dragging when the icon turns into a hand but all i can do is turn on the external lights. No matter what i do, the only way to drive after dark is to hit L. Is this right or does anyone know a special way of interacting with the cab light switch? I feel stupid posting but it is bugging me seeing the switch with a label saying push and not being able to do it! I know i only need it on when at a station and when starting up but it would be nice to be able to turn on the lights immersively if possible. Thank you for your time.
First - the AP 44 pack kas made not difference to the operations of the cab switches Second - are you clicking on the correct button? First button on the desk - Left Mouse Button Click and Hold dragging the mouse to the right and the switch will run thru each position Off - Instrument Lights - Instrument Lights and Timetable - Cab Lights If the exterior lights are coming on you are using the wrong button Yes - it does say On/Off Push but that is the REAL 444 button - not the one in the game Peter
Hi, thank you for your reply! Yes that is the button i am using but i can't seem to get it in the down position as your picture shows, only to the timetable position. My mistake about the exterior lights being the same switch, i was away from the sim and got mixed up, of course i am using the other switch for the exterior lights. I will have another go and if all else fails just use "L".
I just left clicked and held the mouse button down as I moved the mouse to the right The switch went thru each position as the mouse went further right
Hmm that is odd. For me it doesn't go any further than the timetable position. I will verify just in case, but for the meantime, i will just use L. Thanks again.
