Does anyone know of that issue or is it just on my computer? Sorry, that I ask in a new thread - I don't know what to search for that issue. Here is a video that shows the issue with the terrain texture. Example: Feversham, but it is on all DLCs and Maps. I don't know if that thread should be in the technical issue forum.
Yes, it's been there for a while (possibly since the start, I can't remember) but not seen anyone mention it. It's very odd but I wonder if it's a TSW thing or a UE thing.
I am working at a gaming company that works with UE. So I showed the issue to my lead tech artist and programmer. He said that could an issue of the configuration of the terrain LOD, so it would be a TSW thing. And yes, I also had this with TSW2020 right from the start.
Thats not the only route, that have this problem, the same thing happen on the new chemnitz route, with the tree, when i stop at the station, and look at the tree it was shaking, it basically fade in, fade out. I don't know why this is happening, this is probably what the team have to look into, after they finish all the preservation crew update.
The reason for it occurring is I think down to the UVs getting somewhat confused due to the distance from the origin of the map. It seems that UE4 landscape system doesn't entirely like massive maps as it generally starts to occur when you get greater than about 20km from the origin of the route and gets noticeably worse the further you are from it. It is known about, but attempts to fix it so far well... haven't.
Thanks for the clarification! I guess there is no fix, without a massive restructuring of map data, right? Is that coordinate system 32-bit based?
