I just installed the München-Garmisch Deluxe route mod for Munich - Garmisch - Partenkirchen. I don't have a lot of the rolling stock for the scenarios, and no quickdrive was included. So I was just finishing making a new quick drive. I saved it, exited to the main menu & and started it. Then I realized I forgot to add the Overhead Wires option so electric trains could run. I re-edited the QD and Train Simulator crashed before I could re-save. The route is now missing. I cleared Railworks\temp (using TS-Tools) and reset Cache (Train Simulator Settings). Before I delete the mod route folder & re-install; I was wondering if there was some other way to refresh the routes in TS. When I look in TS-Tools the mod folder is still there; just does not show up in TS.
Did you COPY the MainContent.ap file from 00000039-0000-0000-0000-000000002014 to 00000039-0000-0000-0000-000000002017 And is it still there? You can only refresh DTG routes in the game via the Steam Client
Yes, and Yes. Thanks Peter. I'll delete the x2017 folder and restart, then re-do the mod so it creates a fresh x2017 folder. Just thought there might be a way to tell TS to rescan the folders for routes. update: I removed the x2017 folder, copied the mod x2017 folder back & copied the MainContent.ap file from x2014 to x2017 and the route appeared. I then copied a backup of the scenario to the x2017/scenarios folder. When I edited the scenario to add OH, and press F2 TS crashed again. However this time the route was still there. I re-edited the QD scenario and instead of pressing F2 to save I press the run triangle (bottom right) and it saved & exited the editor. I tried a couple of trains to start the QD and it looks OK. I didn't check to see if just removing the original scenario I was working on would make the route re-appear.
TS Tools can Check a route for missing items Route Building Tools > Check Routes or Scenarios If you are missing something important that might be why it does not show
All looked good in TS-Tools. I did do that. Modified my last post to provide an update, thanks Peter 749006 ! I'm learning, slowly but surely. Now I have to learn how to place opposing traffic in a QD.
