So this is one for once dispatch 2.0 is up and running, but here goes. Once you have completed any service successfully you have an option to replace the AI service with your own run and create a user defined timetable. Once this timetable is created any further completed runs on this timetable would edit your timetable further. Of course you could just opt to run the default timetable or not save your progress if you mess up completely further down the line. For example: Service A - Long freight service, your run was 10 minutes late causing a local AI stopping service (service B) to be 6 minutes and an AI express service (service B) to be 4 minutes late. You then run service B you will encounter service A causing you delays but instead of 6 minutes late you complete the run with 10 minutes delay causing service C to be now be 8 minutes late. You then run service C and encounter the 8 minute delay but you complete this with no futher delays. You then run an earlier service (D) really late and this then impacts your service A causing a further delay, the game immediately replaces your run with AI driving from the moment of impact and this knock-on effect would then happen on service B & C. Any future service would then see this new version of these runs replicated. It would not be possible to rerun any saved service on this timetable (but ofcourse you can just run the service again on the default. It sounds really complicated and admittedly it would need a really smart dispatcher and a functional save game, but I do think the added value to the game it brings would take the sim to another level. So what do you think?
