Excuse this public service announcement -

If people insist on spamming the forums with polls to support their opinions, at least take the time to properly construct polling questions to determine the thoughts of the community rather than skew the responses to match your opinion on the subject being polled.

If people want to make polls however they want, it's fine. If you don't like the poll or don't like how it's structured you don't have to vote. Kinda like how you don't gotta vote in a election if you don't like the options on the ballot

Just state your opinion and you'll get a response.
    All the rest is padding.
(Unless OP is a mole from marketing)

I 100% strongly agree, some polls have their merit, while others are just a waste of time. I agree with tallboy7648 if you see a poll you do not like simply ignore it.

The influx of polls is odd as the community team find much more value in written feedback that details how users are feeling.

Polls add little value for us as they are too easy for people who care very little about a topic to vote on.

Are you able to disable them entirely/move them to a seperate forum or at least label them as polls so those of us who dont wish to particapate in 20+ polls a day have the option to ignore them? Currently you have to click on the subject to know if it contains a poll or not?

Yeah, we are starting to get way too many pointless polls. Like "should DTG improve this in the game?" or "should DTG add this or that feature"? Like, yeah...? Obviously we all want the game to be better, no point in making a poll about it.

I can get behind polls like which is the most requested country or feature, but making a separate one for every single thought is really pointless.

    PegasusLeosRailwayFanatix …… fyi.
No one else said, politely, respectfully I will.

I hope this slows polls or “do think DTG should” or “DTG haven’t” posts down…just be more constructive.

We should have a poll asking why does someone's free speech threatens them so?

If you do not like Polls then do not participate, so long as they are not offensive what has it got to do with you? I regard them as a bit of fun, stop whining and complaining eh? Isn't that the usual advice?

So you tell LeadCatcher to not participate in threads he doesn't like, but yet you're partaking in a thread you clearly don't like. Why should LeadCatcher follow your advice when you are doing the very thing you're telling him not to do? For that matter why is LeadCatcher's mere suggestion to have unbiased answers for polls threatening free speech? Yet you telling him to shut up and stay out of polling threads is defending it? That just doesn't make any sense to me.

Once again we are on opposite sides of a topic, but seeing that even a moderator agrees with the limited value of recent polls and strong support from many of the community with my comments, I think I will stay right where I am on this subject.

    Have a great day….

Personally, I'm thinking about posting a poll to see whether or not the community feels that LeadCatcher should have posted a poll to determine if the previously offending polls were properly formatted polls. Hmm, maybe I should post a poll on that idea first. :D

Totally busting LeadCatcher's cojones because, well, Saturday and I'm bored. :) BTW, could someone tell me how to include another member's "member name" as a link in a post? I just can't seem to find that button.

    Too apathetic to vote.
Save it for when it counts, and I'd judge Dtg takes little notice unless the numbers are in the high hundreds.

I’d happily see them to go the same way as downvoting. Some individuals seem incapable of posting unless it’s accompanied by a poll.

A quick straw poll of me shows I’m 100% sick of it :)

Because I'm not annoyed like he is clearly. I do not shy away from opposing opinions but if he clearly has a problem like others do have then just stay out or even take Leadcatcher's own advice and use the ignore button, simples!

Hahahaha, 'even a moderator' high praise indeed. All the things that need to be addressed in this game you think it vitally important to stop people posting polls. Is your real name 'Karen' by any chance?

You would be well advised to stop this silliness, especially the name calling, or I'm 100% certain that the thread will be locked.
Actually, I think it's run its course and should be closed.

I concur - every once in a while you will run into a contrarian that will argue no matter what is presented.

And of course there is the immature name calling in absence of a valid point -- classic
