Good to hear about the open beta plan, I actually was writing something asking why not do this instead of the Romanian and Indian testers who may or may not be familiar with PZB etc but you got it out in time :)

Not a huge fan of outsourcing QA to low wage places if I'm honest and certainly not a fan of raising that as an explanation to why the QA is now going slow. It's your call to go that route and I'm glad we are moving a different way now.

So a mea culpa from Matt (on behalf of DTG), more info about the QA process and how the work's farmed out generally (which I personally found quite interesting), an update on pres crew QA status, an update on PS5 dlc progress and the bone of an open beta of pres crew updates for Steam users at some point in the future. From the way Matt was talking I would be surprised to see the open beta surface much before another two months at least.

I was surprised that DTG use India for their QA, is that because there is strong support for TSW2 or cheap Labour? IMO the best people to test the game are the people that play it the most.

I don't know if they would be interested but the many youtubers like British Ace would be the ideal to test QA imo as he is really good at the game.

Being " good at the game " is not really what QA is about. It's more a way of assuring that the software works flawlessly and meets certain standards laid down by the developer. You have to have expertise in software rather than a particular game.
I doubt that many players would be very good at the technical aspects of QA, unless he/ she has been trained in that discipline.

I would say being good at the game and familiar with the various controls is vital to see if something gets tested properly or not. I have been involved with a few beta tests in other games as has many people but what I learnt from that the last people you want testing for bugs is noobs.
