    Hello PC Fans

Only new to gaming on PC for TSW since a couple weeks.

Here is the rig I am currently using:

    G6 Gaming PC ZEI30G-82WX - AMD Ryzen 9 3900x, 10GB RTX 3080, 1TB M.2 SSD, 2TB HDD, 64GB DDR4, WiFi, Win 10

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09FYCNCWF/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_g_61W1EM5422N3PNQ8D4KH

How does this compare to everyone else?

Bit of the old Brucey higher or lower discussion. I rate mine as a "9 of diamonds" (King of diamonds being top)

    My current rig:

    laptop-smoking.gif

I am joking of course, but sadly the C.Drive died, the D.Drive was trying to die (to be fair it might have, I can't tell anymore), basically as far as the computer is concerned there is no operating system on it whatsoever and it's all gone a bit dead.

Oh well, it was time for an upgrade anyway, and at least it didn't die around 4-6 months earlier when I would have been in the midst of the finishing stages of my dissertation.

Hopefully come the end of next month or maybe April I'll have about £2,000 of budget to buy a relatively fancy new desktop PC.

Yes the chip crisis has moved a decent rig from about £1200 a few years back to some supplier wanting over 2k to really make something 5/7 year proof. A crazy market indeed

Just hoping my old potato sees out the current parts crisis...
I7 4770 @3.5Ghz on an ASUS motherboard (maximum it can take without flashing the BIOS, not happening... ).
    GTX 1650 4Gb VRAM
    24 Gb System RAM.
3 x Mechanical Hard Drives, total storage about 2.5Tb.
    1 x DVD ROM drive.
Win 10 64 bit Home Premium.
I ran the Win 11 compatibility test and M$ just laughed at me.

You thinking of sending the old turnip through the mixer for a cheeky upgrade anytime soon solicitor?

    If so what you thinking?

Can't be upgraded; motherboard chipset can't handle a bigger processor, more RAM nor an RTX. Total replacement is the only option- not something to contemplatenn willingly at current prices.

How does your 1650 cope? I used to run a 1080 TI and it ran pretty good, I have a 3060 now (good price). I have the i7 7700k and I ran the win 11 test and passed everything except the CPU which was released at the same time as the 8th gen, not happy.

I was going to upgrade my mobo, CPU, two nve drives, new 32 gb memory all for a grand but then got hit with some high energy bills so upgrade will have to wait until March at least.

    AMD Ryzen 9 3900x
    32 GB DDR 4 3600
    Vega 56 - 8GB
    500GB SSD - TSW Gaming
    1TB SSD Samsung Boot Drive
Did have a M.2 drive but it died as was poorly made.
The rig is great the Graphics I run at 3K (3200 x 1800) TSW
Runs 40-50 fps Mainly High Settings (TSW Preservation Routes)
Runs 30-40 fps Modern Rush Hour routes
30 might seem low but with F-Sync is generally smooth.
The GPU is a weak link, definitely punching above its weight but the current price vs performance is a joke for new GPU's.

    I9-10900k
    2080ti
    32gb ram.
34 inch ultra wide 120hz Alienware 1440p monitor.

id like a 3090 card but unfortunately dell don’t sell stand alone and I only have 267mm to play with.

    MSI B550i
    32GB DDR4 3800
    Nvidia RTX3080 10GB
    WD 2Tb SN850 NVME
Custom water, 360mm + 280mm rads, optimus cpu block and heatkiller v gpu block.
    Alienware AW3821DW 38" Ultrawide (3840x1600 @ 144hz) with Gsync & HDR

I run with DLDSR 1.78x instead of ingame scaling, and I do about 60fps ultra on the poorly optimized maps at 5120x2133. I also use SpecialK injection to add HDR support to TSW2.

Yes like the HDR action, however I find greens can sometimes pop a bit

Believe it or not when I used to be on ps4 this supported hdr setups for certain games

however tsw and ps4 hdr is a no show (not supported)

yep, I wish the local dimming was better but I don't think we'll get real good HDR on PC monitors until miniLED/microLED become reality. The AW38 was like, $1,400 on sale with discounts but spending as much time as I do working on a PC it made sense for me.

My rig is well overdue for a CPU/Mobo upgrade (and probably more RAM at the same time wouldn't hurt), I'm a little hamstrung by wanting to stay mATX as the current-gen Intel CPUs don't seem to have many mATX mobo options out there, but then again I've never been an adopter of the latest/greatest, preferring to stay ~1 generation behind (much better from a bang-for-buck position)

I made a wrong decision to bought my current laptop 2 years ago, i might a little bit impatient at the time and rushing buy what can i get with my money, so i got this spec:

    - Ryzen 5 3550H 2.1GHz-3.7GHz
    - GTX1050 3GB
    - Originally 8GB RAM, i upgraded it to 16GB later
    - Originally 1TB of HDD, i added 500GB Nvme SSD on purchase day on the shop.
    - 1920x1080 120Hz

Well if you guys wondering what the laptop is, it is Asus TUF FX505DD-R5597T.

Sadly mATX is dead and has been for awhile. My current rig I posted above is a miniITX one, I’d suggest either consider going smaller down to ITX or biting the bullet and just going for full ATX.

Here's my rig. It's a bit of an odd config but I built it as a Blender/UE4 workstation, which is a role it fits pretty well.

    Ryzen 5 3600
    Radeon RX 550 2GB
    32GB DDR4
    Western Digital Blue 2TB
    two BenQ 27" 1080p monitors

Seems to cope reasonably well, though a 1650 Super would have been better. Games like Snowrunner, Deus Ex HR and Fallout 4 run really well, got to remember TSW2 is not best optimised.

The other fly in the ointment which is apt to get overlooked is the PSU. Mine is 450w which is just about enough to drive what I've got, so even if RTX 20xx or 30xx cards suddenly became available at non scalping prices it might push the power requirement over the top.

I've got it covered . My Alienware came with a 1000w. At the time I was in the position to pick all the boxes on the right of the selections and worry about cost later.
I'm hoping to do that next year or year after again to see me through 5-10 years

Yes, I bit the bullet last year and went for power. After limping along with my 6-7 year old machine, I figured games like TSW weren't going to get any more hardware friendly. And I also realized that the only way to get an RTX at a reasonable price was to buy it as part of a system.
I very briefly considered a PS5, which would have saved me a bundle, but I use my PC for lots of things other than gaming. Plus I think I'm too old of a dog to learn to use a controller, I'm a little short on dexterity.
    I also purchased a 32" 4k monitor, but now I'm wishing I'd got a wraparound ultrawide, they
    look sooooo cool.
    I7-1117KF
    RTX 3080
    32 GB DDR4
    1TB NVME
Bunch of HDD's for various uses.
    1000w PSU.

Not so much that but the occasional foray into Flight Sim (either MSFS or FSX), Snowrunner or a bit of FPS/RPG is so much better on the PC. It also avoids the other potential issue with consoles on modern OLED TV screens - the possibility of damaging or burning the display screen. I think OLED's have improved a bit since we purchased ours but remains a concern.

My's rig is still the worst out of everyone here
    CPU: Intel Core I7-11700
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 :( due to the fact that prices are still high in terms of the RTX series.
Samsung SSD 970- 1TB: I think i should have got 2 TB not that i think of it,
Computer screen: Asus Tuf gaming 24"

I think Chriis has you beat on that front. I can only imagine what using a Nehalem dual-core is like for everyday use now.

I think it's by far not the case. The CPU is great and you also have an SSD, which is not always the case.

Also I'm still waiting to see another 64 gig system other than OP's.

I did have 64GB of memory on my old system. Now I have 32GB and don't see a difference. I could go up to 128GB if I cared to. Wouldn't that be wild!

But the GPU is still the worst which make my game keep on dropping FPS, i think if i get a better graphic card it should resolve the FPS problem, but at this time RTX Series still expensive. :|

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe some of the routes i play have a drop fps issues, because of my graphic card?

Yeah. 64GB is for bragging rights or lols if you have the money.

Just curious, why didn't you move it to your new system? It surely couldn't be DDR3 as that would be an 8x8GB config.

I'm starting to consider going back to ATX, ITX cases are just too small for my liking and remove a lot of flexibility regarding cooling and graphics card sizes. Still would probably stick with an 11x00 for cost reasons but might spring for an i7 this time.

And for those whinging about low specs, I'm still running an i5 6600 and 16GB RAM (albeit with a GTX 1660Ti)

It was 4X16 DDR4, but much slower than the modules that came with my current system and would have slowed it down considerably, were it even compatible. As you know, memory operates according to the slowest module.

    Hi,
    I checked your GTX 760 against my GTX 1650 4GB 128-bit GDDR6 PCIE 3.0 GPU
Here is what UserBenchMark (link below) results say when comparing these 2 cards:
GTX 1650 is rated 107th of 673 gpu cards, (16% higher in FPS than the GTX760), 1650 Average Bench mark 43%
GTX 760 is rated 139th of 673 gpu cards, Average Bench mark 28%

My GTX 1650 GPU card is rated somewhere between the Minimum and Recommended requirements for TSW2
TSW2 Minimum is GTX 750 @ Ave. Bench of 18.2%
TSW2 Recommended is GTX 970 @ Ave. Bench of 50.1%

So my GTX 1650 meets the Minimum requirement but is 7% below the Recommended, I guess my card is just squeaking by in TSW2

Usually play at 4K/Ultra with engine.ini tweaks. Mostly sit between 60-80 fps, some heavier areas (like Munich Hbf) will drop to 50.

Playable on ultra with heavy FPS drops from time to time. 100% screen percentage is a max.
