I would be really happy if you did one of these routes

    • Brighton - Southampton Central is a very long route that takes approximately 1 hour 50 minutes. I am all for longer routes, but this one might be a bit excessive. Personally, I think DTG should put Brighton to the side for a while as it is in East Coastway and London Commuter.
    • Eastbourne - Hastings would be good, though I would extend it to Ashford International and make use of the Class 171 and the route takes 1 hour 21 minutes.
    • Hastings - Tonbridge/ London Charing Cross would be another option for me with the total route taking 1 hour 33 minutes (fast service). This could be set in the 1980s to make use of the Hastings Thumper Diesels.
    • Another London Underground line would be nice to see, but picking the best one would be a harder choice. Some of the lines are very long with the Central Line being 74km and the shortest being the Waterloo and City line at 2.37km. Some lines are almost completely underground that might make the route not as interesting, and the same might apply to a route that is mostly above ground. A balance of both might be the best idea.

Do we need more 3rd rail routes in Southern England...
    Less so another 377 route...

So much to explore yet we magnify the small region south of London.

I'm no Southern Region enthusiast but I sure wouldn't say no to a BR Era Southern Region route, modern route wise though I do think it's definitely time to move on for a while

It is a great shame they didn't build the Hastings stretch when they made ECW, especially as that is the part which you get views of the sea from. But I would rather not see another modern third rail route for some time. A BR period one with slam door stock though would be a different matter. The Marshlink line with a NSE Thumper would be great to see.
