TS1 and TSW2 are different games.

TS1 is also a bit of a "wild west" in terms of add ons, where anybody can make a livery and publish it themselves if they wanted to. Creators club is a purely DTG published effort and even though individual users will create the liveries it would be DTG as publishers would get into trouble.

Well, TS is not a complete free for all. If you want to share creations through the Steam Workshop, you can only use assets which are already available in Steam. That would preclude any fanciful liveries or crazy scenarios because those assets and liveries are controlled by DTG.

If you publish a route, livery or scenario through a fan website, they have their own upload rules and I imagine that DTG has little to no liability for that content, which is usually fairly innocuous anyway. DTG just provides editing tools and I've never heard of any problems in the 12 years or so that TS has been around.

It will be many moons before players are sufficiently versed in UE to be able to create liveries and scenarios for TSW outside the very restrictive walls of " Creators' Club ".

In other words, a Steam or any other Workshop for TSW is a long way down the road. And an editor like the one for TS seems to have been totally ruled out.

TSW is a walled garden. That's fine by me, since I'm happy to pay for what I need to enjoy the game. I don't see myself downloading a bunch of player creations, excellent though I'm sure they will be.

Same publisher. If a company would get miffed at having it's logo used in TSW2 it would also be miffed with TS1.

Yes, it was announced in this week's Roadmap Stream. Creators club will release this Thursday. They announced it near the end of the stream.
