Getting Really Frustrated By Red Lights

On many many occasions I have been stopped at a red light, i contact signaler and it is denied, so I wait and wait and wait and it never changes, I look at the map and there are no trains in front of me on the map where my route would be blocked, this just makes no sense and this bug needs to be fixed. It has wasted so much of my time having to redo journeys just because the lights never change from red to green. What is going on with this and when is a fix planned?

I never bother to save.
It frequently becomes an exercise in frustration.
