Does anyone else get really bad flickering from the reflection off the dash on the ICE3M, its far more pronounced on Dresden compared to Cologne and causes me a headache. Ive tried numerous display settings and Dx12 seems marginally better than Dx11. its only present on the angle when including the PZB and SIFA display, but seeing as I drive no HUD I need to use this angle. Is there a mod which removes this reflection or has anyone managed to fiddle with their display settings to reduce/eliminate this? I cant increase my scalling beyond 125% due to my system limitations.
if its simulates real world conditions, Did you try pulling down the blinds and see if it helps with it?
yes and it doesnt Im well aware that its the reflection, but the way it flashes and flickers is annoying to say the least so I wondered if someone had done a mod or found away around it from being so distracting
The light is comming from the backwall of the cab, it's a incorrect in the game. The traxx has the same issue. In realife reflection on the windscreen like this wouldn't be allowed it's a safety hazard.
It’s a reflection of the surface in front of the driver, below the windscreen, above the dials, and it’s because reflections are lower resolution than the other graphics that makes it look horrible. I’ve found that zooming in gets rid of it but it also affects the illusion of speed. Due to this issue in the day and the tinted windscreen making seeing at night almost impossible, I tend to drive the ICE from an external camera positioned in front of the train at driver height. It’s not ideal but it gets rid of both issues. No use at all if you want to drive without the HUD.
I've had this issue from the day TSW2 released. I remember complaining in the forums about it and imediately receiving the information, that's totally cool and intentional... I did a brief search but haven't found a mod even though I think I know there is one! I got rid of this effect after a while but can't remember what actually solved it (technically it was reducing the reflection-effect)
its the reflection off the white nose. Its the reason why old airliners have black below the cockpit windows, to prevent this.
Yup same here. I get what they are trying to do with that reflection but the way it starts flickering is horrible. Seems to be worse in certain weather conditions and times of day. There have been a few threads about this, here is one from Sept. 2020 : https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/disable-screen-reflections-inside.26857/ DW
