Not to mention 150 in west Cornwall doesn’t sound anything like a sprinter compared to Armstrong powerhouse class 150
The 150s are banned in the north east. Not quite sure why though. Still unprototypical due to the time period.
Only if the model is built from the bottom up and has no connection at all to the Rivet abomination. Frankly for the North East or NTP a Class 142 Pacer would be better, or maybe a Class 156. We also desperately need a Class 108 heritage unit IMHO, before another 150.
From the bottom up be awesome especially if was as good as class 465 add on for south eastern high speed that’s one of best trains ever in tsw2
The class 150/1 was mainly used in the midlands and northwest with some later going to Great Western so there are no suitable routes. A class 143 in Provincial would be great for TVL as Heaton had them all in 1989 when the route is set. However I suspect that ship has long sailed.
Aye, I do hope they are still considering loco DLCs for the older routes, there's plenty more that can be done especially for the BR era routes.
Yes I agree I hope so too but I have a feeling not, although Matt has stated in the past he would like to see a Pacer in TSW. It would be nice to have the class 31 layered in on NTP for a start also a class 25, and as said above a class 108 would be useful especially in as they were far more common in 1983 at the Manchester end. Some mark 1's to represent some of the other loco hauled services between Leeds and Manchester also. For TVL a Pacer really would have been the dominant passenger train in 1989, Heaton had mainly class 143's and a handful of class 142's then. A railfreight class 47 wouldn't go amiss for TVL either.
A Class 143 for TVL would be a more logical choice, especially as it could be reused for a Welsh Valleys or Riviera Line route.
