Just Curious? Do French Trains Run With Zero Passengers?

Hiya, I like the TVG DLC. Nice quick run. Nice train. But in real life does it carry absolutely zero passengers because that's what I'm being told. Seems like a futile business operation.

Anyone know if this will one day be simulated by including passengers?

I hate to ask but this is being advertised as a simulation.

 

It’s not alone in TSW2 for not having any passengers. I think, at least on the consoles, that the more complex and demanding the route is from a performance point of view, the fewer passengers are allowed on the train to prevent overloading the game/sim. That’s pure conjecture on my part from what I’ve seen in the game. It could just be another bug though.

In real life, the Paris-Marseilles run is the only TGV service that sells enough fares to pay for itself.

 

We’ll yeah if it’s a “W train” lol but seriously they really messed up by not adding a decent amount of passenger on one of the busiest HSL of Europe

 

So there are no passengers on TGV route platforms? (I don't have TGV DLC so I'm not sure if it stops somewhere on the way to it's final destination)
Or they are there, but they vanish after boarding the train?

 

They are there on the platforms sporadically but when I was on it the other day at Marseille I opened the doors and all the passengers got off!!!! But its very rare when I walk through the train that there is anyone on it so I think this needs to go to the tech forum for the Brainy guys to see if they can fix it

I saw somewhere where someone said this route has a different blur feature or whatever to indicate the higher speed so maybe that has something to do with not being able to support many passengers because I don't think otherwise this is a demanding route.

 

Even my NPC passengers on other routes complain about your driving! :P

I think TSW stands for Train Stock-move World as when I start a good few journeys, I open the doors and everyone gets off!
It then feels like I am doing a stock move from A to B.
It’s very disheartening driving empty trains

 

Yes, for a simulation it certainly breaks the immersion. Hopefully the rush hour upgrades can eventually reach every DLC.

 

I've noticed something completely different on East Coastway and Northern Trans-Pennine, that is when I move the stock from it's final destination to the depot to end it's duty - not all passengers are disembarking from the DMU/EMU and finally the stock ends up on the depot siding's with several passengers sitting inside
