Just a thought. I envisage many of us have the updated packs which add adverts. For example on BML. I wonder if this Bidstack will force over the top of these or if we need to start removing all the other mods.

I had a look at SKA, the big billboards on the platform at Koln Hbf show the Bidstack ads even though I have the NH SKA enhancement mod so I wouldn't worry about it, the ads seem to take priority over the in-game textures.

One thing is for certain: there is no stopping them; the ads will soon be here.
And I for one welcome our new Train Sim overlords...

So the dynamic ads are already in the game?

Yes, in SKA (Koln at least) for sure.

They add pretty good realism I should say. I like them a lot.

Did I read that the dynamic billboard ads are only being shown on Steam versions of the game?

Yeah I also like them. And there is no reason to remove the route upgrades, as many other textures change with the mods. It's not only the advertisments. The only mod you really don't need anymore is Londonmidlands Skybox.

Ooh, I haven’t used Nivea Men before. I’d like to get fresh, I’d like to be fresh. I’m off to the shops.

It is a touch of realism, I guess. I mean we're assailed with ads everywhere, everyday. I find I can generally ignore billboards, so they're just background in the end. Still, I wonder what the American ads will be.

I wonder how it'll handle historic routes.

This post is specific re: screen rendering algorithms - which puts my response at risk for being off topic.
Apologies in advance. I'm putting this here as opposed to creating a new thread on Bidstack.

I applaud Dovetail for allowing an "opt-in / opt-out" choice in the matter. In the event this response finds its way to a Dovetail key decision maker, I am 100% convinced the choice will be removed or made useless by the Terms and Conditions or privacy policy. PLEASE prove me wrong.

Yes me too, usually i like every feature adds realism or variety to tsw. What i dont like is priority of that fancy stuff over "simulation relevant things" like disused stations in routes, not working break indicators on locos, cutted out loco features on sherman hill etc etc....

Right now the balance seems not working out for me. We have to beg for track sounds, were standard 3 years ago since i have noticed all the british diesel loco dlcs have a top sound mixing & audio. Not modeling the Speed control & Train lenght counter in the train because of "time issues", but for this billboard thing was time left..lets again open questions for me as a customer.

Right now it looks good Rivet is getting my money, really glad there is another release beside harlem.
