Nope. The only thing we know is that there are no plans atm to release the SD70 V2 pack... Let's see if we get news tomorrow.

I would suggest Jamie needs to explain how something some users cannot acquire was allowed in the screenshot contest.

 

Because they apparently do not know. They answered about the SD70 Pack only after trev123 filed a ticket.

I agree it's time to finish the release of the remaining stuff instead of waiting any longer.

 

I have the BNSF ES44DC because I bought it in 2014 when it was available worldwide, it is still not available worldwide currently though.

 

Yes it is quite strange for the picture I submitted to win as it violates the "Please make sure anything that is not available on the Steam Store or Dovetail Store is not shown in the screenshot" rule. Maybe it's an exception as it technically is on the store, just not in most places? I didn't even intend to break this rule in the first place as I actually thought the BNSF ES44DC in the screenshot I took came with the route, I completely forgot it actually was a separate purchase that I bought in 2014, I only found out about it being a separate purchase today.

 

They removed most such restrictions from the rules a few weeks ago, with the mindset that it's complicated and will be available soon anyway.
I think this is not about the winning shot as about being March and still having some trivial items locked.
It's not like they are announcing each DLC with fanfare, so I don't really see the reasoning behind the gating.

My only issue with this whole thing is that now there are way too many BNSF screenshots.
... Of course, since the other US packs with the additional liveries are not available yet. Silly me. Which could actually be the reason, some liveries. And being worried about the quality, see the recent F3 reviews. It's a great pack even if it's subpar - AI, yards at the very worst.

 

The irony is that I think Portland Terminal is allowed. I mean, it wasn't on the banned list AFAIK. Someone could go grab Maine Maritime and take the picture, it becomes the winner...then how would the product be promoted? It's freeware.

Unless the change of status makes it fail another rule where it must be available on the store. That would clear that up.

From what I have seen on the Steam store page. It states coming soon, so I don't doubt this because all the other stuff is flowing out to non US buyers like myself and I recently just bought a shedload of routes and trains that I saved up for like mad to take advantage of the recent Steam sale. So its good times ahead and I am loving the GP38-2 and the F45.

John, I'm not sure what you mean with WC and Default3... maybe those are additional repaints? The DLC is ok as it is.

 

Maybe it is a repaint, if it is I am not sure where it came from. I’ll check it tomorrow, in the meantime I’ll edit the post and delete the reference to WC.
