So, looking from this image alone in terms of on equipments, looking like they're gonna be pulling off the same way Monroe Sub was done (which is reusing the locos and cars from older routes and add-ons for a new route).
    Great!
    (Speaking to myself: Not!!!)

Yeah, hopefully they aren't gonna do that, and I hope the Pioneer preview will set the route in the 90's, which is an era we are missing locos for the Union Pacific outside of the old SD40-2 and the SD60M.

    I would like to see things such as a SD60, C40-8, C41-8W, or even a Dash 9.

Well, we are back to square one on the Era....I just hope they don't recycle too much Kuju stock, if any at all.

Same. It would be disappointing for a beautiful route like this, just to get wasted by out dated content that's decades old now that are used.
Wondering if they could get help by other 3rd-parties with the stock, the same way High Iron did for his routes. Might be a long shot, but at least it'll be better than the default Kuju option.

Yeah, using only Kuju stock seems like a waste.

I don't believe the AC4400CW is particularly old though, in fact it might be the newest US rolling stock asset that's been done for TS.

While true, as Tehachapi Pass was made last year. But when it comes to other rolling stocks from DTG, many of them are clearly old, some as far as Cajon Pass itself (sine the RS days). No matter how many times they've been refurbished or "reused" for a new route, they're still gonna be the same one way or another.

If you're ruling out old stock, existing or rebuilt then what exactly is the solution to that problem though? I don't think you're exactly gonna convince Searchlight or Reppo to supply even their existing locos for inclusion. Let alone do three locos and twenty freight cars from scratch, even if it was just basic functionality.

I mean the freight cars that are used for BNSF routes (IE Marias Pass) were not that bad, and are more appropriate sized compared to those from Kuju routes back in the day. Not to mention, while old, Michael Stephan's cars (AKA Great Northerner/VNHRR) are also more prototypically sized that something like the comically big UP boxcar that keeps coming up on UP routes. Not to mention the textures on the Kuju Stock is god awful.

The stock used for Shasta by Milepost Simulations, while not super high quality, pass extremely well for period stock.

*sigh*, so TBT fired at SS and SS fired right back, not sure why TBT started it, but I cant see this ending well, especially after the DTM debacle.....

A battle between who's better in quality for a decade old relic. Really?! This is getting ridiculous now.

This reminds me of when MC Hammer decided he would became a "OG" and got into beef with actual OG's. If you're gonna talk smack to someone, at the very least make sure your house isn't made of glass first.

Hey there everyone! Thank you all for your interest with our route! So just as a little 'clearance' on the rolling stock, the engines we are planning on including haven't been shown on any screenshot. The era we've chosen isn't quite modern, but it is in between 1900 and 2015, that's all I'll say......... (there's a lot of interpretation there)

While not brand new, we are planning on updating allllllll of the rolling stock with new textures, and fingers crossed new sounds if we can get that sorted and figured out. I've personally played TS ever since TS2014, so I know what we all want :) TBH I've actually had to stop myself from doubling and tripling the length of the route due to deadlines and different projects in the pipeline. I don't want to disappoint anyone with this project, so we will be trying our best to make the rolling stock up to date and worth it! I've also redone the scenery from my earlier screenshots, so the route is looking a bit different now.

Again thank you all for your interest in our route, and I am very excited to share it with all of you in the coming months!

So by looking at the tender, they'll have the old DRGW style of logo instead of the Speedletter version (not too surprising, honestly). But, I'm relieved for the K-27s now, this means the number of units for this route (15 in all) is no longer an issue if that's what they're going for. Though, I may suspect Milepost will also do the RGS Logo on the tender as well, it would be pointless not to for an RGS route. Right?

I mean, we know the area they are focusing on by now, so they just keep confirming it. Milepost might as well just confirm the route. Even if other details remain hidden.

eh, gonna be honest here. There isn't really much to deduce Laria's new route at this point, let alone get interested with only seeing just parts of the route alone without any kind of locos or rolling stock in the shots (or the time period it represents). So Oregon or not, many will still say it's just another mountain route.

On the contrary, we have plenty.
Just for shiggles, I looked up a car ride on Google.

    upload_2022-5-25_11-18-31.png

That plants the route firmly inside this area:

    upload_2022-5-25_11-42-31.png

The only reason it can be narrowed down so easily is because there are exactly two rail lines through La Grande, as pictured. The only thing that is not certain for me is the start and end points. Blacknred places it as Union Pacific's La Grande Subdivision, running from Hinkle to La Grande. The second image in the first quoted post is why, at Bear Canyon; while I found Bear Creek National Park, that's way too long, so I'll stick with documenting Hinkle to La Grande, which was his guess (and IMO, a pretty good one):

To complete this analysis, here's the Google map showing where Blacknred guessed compared to where Portland is located:

    upload_2022-5-25_11-33-5.png

Personally, I think he has it. Of course, I may be employing confirmation bias and be completely wrong.

Ok, yes, I already know that it's gonna be the La Grande Subdivision from the past post on here (I was there from the beginning, not to brag). The problem nowadays that there's no stock shown on his screenshots lately, and it's been a few months since his post on what era the route is gonna be represented as (which is very vague at the moment). Let alone updating the rolling stocks that'll be included, whatever those are to begin with (besides default stock of course).

True. They did show trains on the route, but they did not confirm that the trains in question are going to have anything to do with the route. The Amtrak "Pioneer" service - now defunct - appeared on the line, and we also saw pictures of UP X7224 and UP #6914 (a DDA40X). These all used the line apparently at some point, but may be different eras, and they have not confirmed the era in question.

Milepost updated their cover photo, location is the same in the last post, but different lettering is seen on 452, 2 types of letting on the DRGW boxcars (Lettering and Roundel), and a RGS caboose.

Rather have generic freight than ONE containers everywhere but I'm sure there's mods that will make the containers more prototypical to what runs in the States.

Check out the RWA library there are “stacks” of containers of domestic (USA) liveries as repaints for free.

They are the same containers that were updated with Tehachapi Pass. Which are 53' (Actually 48') RSC containers from way back in the day. Though the 3 companies represented (Hamburg Sud, Hapag Lloyd, and ONE) don't use those size containers, since those are domestic US container size, not international container size (Like 45', 40' and 20')

Can I just throw out that Larias has not confirmed their stock yet, much less our guesses on whether Oregon is the location of the route? I mean, there are several states that the Pioneer service crossed. Oregon is just a huge area of the route, and two shots matched up, so it was a logical guess.

Larias has shared another photo from their route, looks very WIP....
    285546780_778647856850654_8628360838837709367_n.jpg

Believe this is this location here, near the Horseshoe Curve Hunting Club near Echo, Oregon.
    larias 5.png

I've also pinpointed other locations from other photos. This looks like this bridge over Meacham Creek in Umatilla County.
