Driving the DRA-model 146.2 on SKA. This one has LZB functionality, and since the RE is using the express tracks it's in effect.

But where, just past Düren, I get the LZB-Ende warning, I cannot get the system to acknowledge my release/acknowledge; it just slaps me with a Zwansbremsung.

Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

Most likely an issue with the 146.2, I never got it working properly on any LZB-equipped route no matter what I try, I am experiencing the same as you. As the LZB switch is easily reachable I tend to deactivate it before the LZB section ends...

Makes sense; LZB isn't much use here anyway, since setting the AFB to 160 throughout that section does pretty much the same thing anyway.

Unfortunately, restoring from a save led to a perma-red and a ruined service :mad::mad:

On my HMA testings the speed reduction to 120 at some point didn't go that well either and resulted in an emergency braking. So yeah... LZB is probably best used in the ICEs and 101 ;)

    On the MSB-version, LZB-Ende works.

That might be a problem with the Locomotive itself and to fix that Issue of LZB Ende not working on Riesa-Dresden 146.2 try contacting Dovetail Support on this issue. You might need to create a DTG support account if you haven't made one already.

The MSB version doesn't even have LZB

Sure, it has, just drove a service on Köln Aachen on the MSB 146.2 with LZB turned on. The basic is system is working, only in-cab signaling (HUD only) and audio-alerts are missing.

Are you sure it was the MSB version and not the DRA version (which the game will sub for it sua sponte)? When MSB was released, TSW didn't even model LZB (that came with SKA).

Does LZB work on the DRA 146?

Well, the basic functionality was added in last years MSB preservation crew focus and delivered with the 4.26 upgrade. It misses the in-cab signalling (HUD only) and the audio alerts. Maybe that's the reason, why it wasn't mentioned in the patch notes. But the basic functionality, supervising your speed is available in the MSB version.

Don't believe it? Well, no need to insert the reverser, brakes have to be set manually, no brake mode selector on the backwall, PIS is working, this is the MSB 146.2.

Around 5:50, HUD changes from PZB to LZB, later on, train slowing down automatically, while appoaching a yellow....

Yes, not a full implementation, but well, if Bombardier isn't able to program their EBICAB-system without bugs, why should DTG be able to do so...

Anyway, why is acknowledging LZB Ende not recognized?

The audio alerts are Zugsbeeinflussung Sifa Zwangsbremsung Sifa and Zwangsbremsung which is present on the Riesa-Dresden Version and Main Spessart Bahn 146.2 when working correctly.

Because it's broken, and has been since release.

Maybe if the next german route would be equipped with LZB and of course come along with Dostos and therefore also another 146 this gets fixed for that version... which is technically impossible for the others unfortunately ;) :D
