There definitely is an issue with train 616. I ran it from the journey, turned the safety systems on and got stuck as per image above. Restarted and again turned safety systems on, drove slightly slower, got passed the train in front and then found train gridlock ahead. Restarted again, this time I didn't turn the safety systems on, still drove to the in cab speed limits and completed the service. Afterwards I launched 616 from the timetable, turned the safety systems on, and got stuck again.

 

MODS are the cause

 

I've just completed 616 no issue with safety systems on. So yeah looks like a mod is playing havoc with the AI

 

Just removed all my MODS and still get stopped with a train traffic jam, with the safety systems on.

 

Think its because of the safety systems

 

Strange, the first thing I tried today was 616. Safety systems on, many mods on PC - no problem whatsoever!

 

My steps (which helped, all together, somehow):

1. delete this folder \Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld2\Saved\Config
2. Steam > right-click TSW2 in your library > Properties... > LOCAL FILES > Verify integrity of local files...
3. MODS 'OFF'

I play with safety systems ON

 

Think you are suppose to be infront of that train since i departed early and it all worked out in the end without any issue

 

Your theory makes a lot of sense. It's worth checking it out \o/

However, with safety systems enabled it will be difficult (medium clear / approach most of the time).

 

Yeah well that why i tried running it without system settings and you'll see an train stalking up behind you
