Getting back to what this thread should be. Semmeringbahn currently reduced on DTG site from £19.98 to £7.99 https://store.dovetailgames.com/uk/...ingbahn-mrzzuschlag-to-gloggnitz-route-add-on Happy days
Yes I do! Learn to read, not Insane, INANE adjective lacking sense or meaning; silly. "don't badger people with inane questions"
Guys, calm down. No sense to argue about this. Fact is: The March Madness sale of 2022 has not arrived yet afaik.
Guys, please. This can be done via PM. No need to air this out in the open. I'm being told about new posts here to see fighting.
Agreed there is no need to descend any lower than it has already gotten to, otherwise we will end up seeing this thread locked.
Look. It does not matter who starts the fight if you are also fighting. There is no ”He started it” here. Back on topic, please!
So, getting this thread back on topic, lots of Train Sim 22 DLC is on sale from now until 28th March: https://store.steampowered.com/dlc/24010/
It's Maddening that they started it on a Monday. Because it's Maddening Monday! (No? Munich Monday? I give up...) But yes, I saw Fife Circle 60% off, that was the first hint I saw to a sale. I'll save this for after I get home from a brief visit to family, lots of time to cash in a deal I might need. Goes to the 28th, after all.
Be careful some of the discounts are less than those in the Luner NY sale and may possibly be a greater discount in next month’s Easter Sale.
With the sale on what routes and locos would people recommend? I enjoy most British and German routes, I enjoy American passenger routes but I don't have any American freight routes (apart from Pinnesula Corridor which is mainly passenger ) so I'm not sure if I'd enjoy them.
Here are some DLC I recommend for you. Locos DB BR 442 'Talent 2' EMU (If you want to try out a German loco, I recommend this one. I like the model so much and I like driving it a lot) London Overground BR Class 313 EMU (Very detailed EMU made by Armstrong Powerhouse that is very realistic. If you want more scenarios with it and more liveries than get it off of Armstrong Powerhouse's website instead) WSR Diesels (A Class 03 and Class 47 for the West Somerset Railway that I enjoy driving) Routes North Somerset Railway (A short but nice one track route that goes through suburbs) Semmeringbahn - Mürzzuschlag to Gloggnitz (Very scenic Austrain route that is very twisty that goes through the mountains, includes freight and passenger services) Suburban Glasgow Northwest: Springburn - Helensburgh (I absolutely adore this route, I love suburban passenger routes like this!) West Somerset Railway (A very nice and peaceful preserved railway with diesel freight and passenger services, as well as some steam passenger services. Lots of other DLC that you can buy for this route too!) Wherry Lines: Norwich - Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft (A beautiful British passenger countryside route)
As far as UK content, both the BRB blue and BRB blue diesel electric packs are things I'd recommend. You will get a good number of locos and coaches for what is a very modest price under the current discount. As far as routes, I always reccommend the "Weardale & Teesdale Network" to anyone. It is an older route, but the quality, attention to detail and historical accuracy (set in the early 60s) is amaizng. A must have if you have any interest in the BR green diesel / end of steam era. Still one of my top favorite routes in TS.
If anyone is looking for German S-Bahn add ons, at the moment this DB BR420 EMU is worth a look It is a well crafted model complete with 5 x liveries and 4 x scenarios for £7.19 (60% off) https://store.steampowered.com/app/222599/Train_Simulator_DB_BR420_EMU_AddOn/
For those not finding a MittenWalden Bahn in a search it is Mittenwaldbahn and £6.29 at the moment https://store.steampowered.com/app/...GarmischPartenkirchen__Innsbruck_Route_AddOn/
For those who don't know how to find the Steam DB the information is given on the Steam Page "Both the DB BR 442 in DB Regio livery, and ÖBB 2016 resplendent in the bold ÖBB red, is ready for your remote passenger and heavy freight needs. A selection of freight cars is included for the ÖBB 2016, and the locomotive itself is in clean, weathered and heavily weathered conditions."
Just stumbled across this German Inselbahn Route in the sale. https://store.steampowered.com/app/967287/Train_Simulator_Inselbahn_Stralsund__Sassnitz_Route_AddOn/ The scenery is a tad dated but I can live with that. Included are: 3 Locos (BR120, BR155, BR143) DoppelStock (DoSto) vehicles & control car in Clean, Weathered and Heavily Weathered DB Regio livery ARkimbz, Avmz & Bmpz coaches in DB Intercity livery Eanos x052, Kkt & Ktmm Hopper Wagons in DB livery Shimmns & Habbins Wagons in various liveries SGGRSS-B Container Wagons in various liveries + a route for £7.19 or in a bundle with the BR204 Shunter it is even cheaper, £7.12 4 Locos + a shed load of freight wagons + a nice little route for just over £7.00, bargain methinks.
I think I own the route, but a bit sad the nice bundle is only occurring now. Not sure if I own the 204.
Good spot thanks. Sassnitz used to be where the Russian (Broad Gauge) wagons came into E. Germany by Ferry. There was a batch of 0-8-0 V60(D) shunters (BR347 in DB days) based there for the shunting these being Broad Gauge. There is a fascinating gauge change shed at the East end of Mukran yard where the wagon wheels were unlocked , the wagons were then pushed (or pulled) through tapered track using special adaptor wagons and then the wheels locked onto the axles again at the gauge required depending on whether they were coming into or going out of Germany. This continued until the late 1990s at least.
The bundle has been around for a while, used it when I brought it last year. It is always a good idea to look at these bundles, I have been thinking about the South London+378 bundle which is 6,35€ at the sale compared to 7,69€ for the route only. /Måns
The 378 comes bundled with the Goblin Lines at no additional charge. But if you would get the route cheaper, then this might be acceptable as an alternative...
Don't make my mistake and buy the bundles....I just ended up with 2 duplicate routes I think. Koblenz-Cologne bundled with Cologne Airport and the TGV Lyon-Marseille bundled with Marseille-Avignon!
If you are saying you bought, say, Lyon-Marsailles and then bought the extension with the route together in the bundle, then yes. Unless you are finding that both together are cheaper than the extension by itself, you would want to buy just the extension because they don't discount these bundles based on your ownership of half of the bundle. Sometimes they do, but it seems rare. It is a normal practice that seems to be ignored on this game. Even buying the full bundle, check the sale prices. If both items are 75% off and the bundle is full price, don't buy the bundle under any circumstances if the individual items are a better price. Use SteamDB to verify contents of each package.
When I tried to buy a bundle I was informed that the purchase was not valid as I already had XXX in my library, not sure how you managed or it allowed you to manage to buy something twice.
No you did not buy duplicates.. As you have been told in another thread And as John says above, Steam won't let you buy something you already purchased thru them
You are all correct guys! It is odd though to have the ability to play the same route twice though on my main screen......
Didn’t see news that Caledonian Works had a sale running through yesterday to tonight on rolling stock. Only found out by browsing Facebook and bought the wagon packs I needed purely by chance. Sorry couldn’t post it as I bought just before deadline. However I have just spotted that Digital Traction do have a March Madness sale this weekend with up to 60% off.
Not sure how to take them on my pc (pretty new to not using a xbox) but on my route list it shows LGV Lyon-Marseille and next to it is the route Marseille-Avignon. For the German lines it shows Koblenz-Cologne and next to it is Cologne Airport- West Rhine Cologne Koblenz.
What has this got to do with advising the community of the latest sales, which is the purpose of this thread? If you want to have discussions about something else please start a new thread, or use the one you've already started on the subject: Did I Just Buy Duplicate Routes? | Dovetail Games Forums
I was replying to another user. Plus maybe it would be helpful for other people to not end up spending extra cash if they don't need to on routes which by all intents and purposes are duplicates. So yes it actually does have something to do with this topic so thanks.
And you are continuing to derail it. Your post does not talk about sales. It chastises people posting before you.
In the next three weeks I expect to see sales from DTG and another from Steam Also possible April sales with an….. Armstrong Powerhouse Sale RSSLO Easter Sale Digital Traction Sale Caledonia Works Sale And possibly a Steam Sounds Supreme Sale, but don’t hold out much hope before June but you never know.
Digital Traction Sale is finishing tonight at 23.59 GMT I doubt if they will have another next month Caledonia Works just had a Sale on Rolling Stock which ended on Friday
Just for information to the newbies amongst us. The vast majority of German DLC routes on Steam have since been upgraded after release a few year's ago by the German community, utilising other vegetation and trees from other Payware routes, such as Konstanz-Villingen, etc. There are also lots of freeware assets that are also available if you want to download them from these 2 main German train simming websites - https://railomanie.eu/ and https://rail-sim.de/forum/filebase/index.php?filebase/1224-train-simulator/&l=2 You can change the language to read English or use Microsoft Edge browser which translates the pages for you when you click on the sites. You may need to learn a few words of German, but, I can assure you that the German community do an excellent job of upgrading all of the routes available currently and make them worth obtaining to play on. You can also help yourselves to the freeware reskins of German locomotives/coaches and wagons, there are lots of goodies to play with that some of you may not know exist, especially, those of you who like authentic German routes, and if you don't have them you can purchase them in the various Steam sales throughout the year.
As it's unrelated to sales specifically, I wonder if there is a thread dedicated to this information and discussion. Do you have details on all of the route upgrades that are out there for German routes? A link to all of the locations for the various upgrades might be extremely helpful. So decided to jump on the Digital Traction one. I did need an excuse to get their 4MT, and I picked up the Milk Train and one of the BR Wagon Packs (not the original pair, which I already have, obviously). I have been meaning to check out the Milk Train scenarios, anyway.
