Did anyone realize while doing this scenario the weather actually changes from Fog to Rainy? When I was driving towards Grand Central Terminal, the weather was foggy throughout the first run, but when I was doing the second part of the same scenario, when i came out of Grand Central terminal towards Harlem, the weather changed from foggy to raining. Here is the first run in foggy weather on the scenario And then when heading back out from grand central Terminal towards Harlem, this happen. The weather starts to rain Could this mean that we might see weather changes happening to all the new routes? What is this hinting at? I was just so surprise when this is the first time weather actually changes on the same run? Does that mean that live real-time weather is coming and so is dynamic weather? What do you guys think?
Is this a two-part run with a restart in between? CRR has this with different parts of the same run having different weather.
Dynamic weather has been in the game since the start. It's used on some Sand Patch, LGV and Cathcart scenarios. When people say they want dynamic weather, they mean in timetable mode. Or they're not aware it's a thing.
I feel that some of the weather isn’t dynamic weather enough, if you were to compare their dynamic weather to MFS, you will realize how much better MFS Dynamic weather is. We still dont’t have any Thunderstorm or Lightning Weather, Or Windy, Gusty Weather where things like paper start blowing, or Blizzard Weather at all still.
It's not a "thing" in timetable mode. Not everybody plays scenarios to be fair. DTG should eventually add dynamic weather in timetable mode
Blizzards and thunderstorms are a thing in the game, they're just not used (you can create a blizzard in timetable - it used to be a preset until they moved to the month system) - set it to a winter month where the tempearture is below 0, and turn precipitation, cloud, snow and wind all to maximum. The lightning needs a lot of work though (there is a scenario on Oakville that uses it) and I think the main thing holding it back is not having the ability to turn it off.
What I mean by dynamic weather is the changes of weather by itself as you drive along the route on a time table schedule like how it is in real life, where the weather can change. So far I only see this in scenarios in which I am kind of annoyed that the team didn't allow this to happen also on timetable, this would have bring much more fun and realism in game. Also also thing i meant by dynamic weather is the cloud moving because as of right now the cloud is stuck and doesn't move like how it is in the real world. When DTG and team bring Dynamic weather i would really want to see the sky and weather acting the same way as how it is in the real world and also the option of live time weather in game so if for example if its is raining currently in game will also be raining depending on the route and region you are in. Like i have mention before, MFS In game weather have the option of choosing IN REAL TIME Live Weather, which i really do want to see for TSW 2 when they get to it.
Way to do this is taking data from the UK Met Office for real time and Dynamic weather data. For Finnentrop the end point of Ruhr-Sieg Nord it has to use a nearby major city like Köln or Düsseldorf. Harlem Line is the Easiest to do since White Plains, NY and New York will appear on the list of Met Office
I don't really see it moving? Also it should look something like this in this video Now we are just only missing the track joint sound in order for it to give more realistic experience
