Hello. The route "Dresden Nahverkehr" always crashes near Dresden. This has been going on for months now and so far this problem has not been resolved, although it has been known for a long time. Where is the problem? It's just annoying.
Do you use a Gen 8 console, I’m guessing yes, the problem is in short words to do with the fact that it can’t handle Dresden Riesa Whilst it’s completely understandable if you can’t, all I can suggest to fix this is issue is to move to a Gen 9 Console as it doesn’t seem from my experience on one to occur on them
I try to complete services that aren't around rush hour near Dresden. I also have been able to services between Coswig and Großenhain at any time.
Odd. I play on a Series S, too. I've played all scenarios and tutorials and most of the services so far. The game crashed very few times here and there but certainly not the way you described.
Executive Producer Matt things this is a memory leak issue specific to the Xbox Series S (since there is less available RAM compared to the Xbox Series X). Until the team can solve this issue, Matt suggestions restarting your TSW2 game fully (quit the game in the Xbox menu, then relaunch it) between each run, especially with Dresden route. This will hopefully limit/remove the chance of a game crash due to lack of memory available.
Do you play in 1080p or 4k? The 4k mode seems from what I hear to have crashing issues on several newer routes which are far less common in 1080p mode.
I play on a 1440p screen with the console set to 1440p output. The game is set to render in 4k in the options menu.
I have gotten used to having to set the resolution from 4K to HD a few km out of Dresden Neustadt to avoid crashes. Unfortunate because it looks significantly worse but I can deal with the fact that a console as cheap as the Series S won't be able to handle all the traffic at max settings. The rest of the route runs fine though for me
