The control of this is on the trains systems menu but you can't use it,so do passengers just sit in the dark? This is what happened i started on foot in the white plains yard boarded a M7A and ready the train at the time it was dark at 6:12am the start time the passenger area lights kicked on for 5 seconds then went out and didn't comeback on,no matter what i did.
I filed a bug report about this yesterday. In the LIRR M7 you can use the 'Operating Screen' to turn the passenger lights (+the HVAC, and the exterior speakers(?)) on/off. (Only with the 'classic' controls or with a mouse as you need to release the crosshair, which is not mapped to the controller in the 'immersion' control scheme). For whatever reason the screen does not work at all in the MTA M7. LIRR M7: MTA M7A:
All m7a services all the passenger lights off when you spawn in to game m3s have them working the only way that I see that the m7a turn the passenger lights on if you are in the cab seat before your service starts
Not that it helps most players, but you actually can get passenger lights works on the display screen on Xbox (tested on Series X build). You need to have a mouse connected, but that lets you left-click on the LCD screen to configure the passenger lighting of each cab.
Good job DTG: How to use the driver's display unit on consoles: 1. BR Class 395: when the game feels like it, it is operable in both control scheme, with a controller or with a mouse. 2. LIRR M7: the player needs to release the crosshair to toggle the buttons. As this is not mapped to the controller in the 'immersion' control scheme, the player have to switch to the 'classic' control scheme. Alternatively the player can use a mouse to release the crosshair and toggle the buttons in both control scheme. Only works when the train is stationary, and the game feels like it. 3. MTA M7A: the player cannot use the screen whatsoever with a controller. To use the screen the player have to use a mouse (which is not officialy supported, and since the latest update if the player dare to touch the mouse the game drops from solid 60fps to below 20!!!!). They shouldn't release the crosshair, otherwise they can't toggle the buttons. Also the MTA M7A's HVAC toggle doesn't seems to do anything, it works just fine on the LIRR M7. I'm not a game designer but maybe, just maybe every train's driver's display unit should behave like the Javelin's (when it's actually working).
never worked on lirr in tsw2 for me or this one with controller even with classic controls doesn't work on these one either sadly x one
I can’t believe they are still making things that only work or work properly with a mouse after all the bug reports and suggestions about that issue that I and others have done relating to multiple loco models and UI integration. It’s like nobody at DTG is listening and/or taking action to make sure that all players can enjoy the content equally. DTG, if you are reading, can you make the necessary changes to your workflows and testing to ensure this doesn’t keep happening?
