Hi guys, I wonder what are noch 1-2-3-4- n this Selector Lever? Also isn't his supposed to be a dynamic brake?
They are designed for when engines still had manual transitions, so for gameplay all you need to remember is 1 for throttle , B for dynamic brake (move the lever the other way to get to this). In B your throttle acts as the dynamic brake.
Great, thanks. Is there any route /loco available which set in the era where manual transition was not automatised?
The F7 in Clinchfield has a nominal manual-transition mode, but it isn't actually modeled in TSW so it's all-automatic. The SD40 never had a manual mode; the selector was there to control older manual-transition locos if they were in the same lashup. Ergo 1 through 4 all have the same effective function: go.
