I have already nearly purchased all the routes ( compared to loco, route looks like more cheaper I think) But which loco is worthing buying? I have already have BR186 BR182 465EMU Thanks
Any of the UK classic diesels worth a look. The Class 20 and Class 31 particularly nice, if you have Tees Valley Line.
The DB BR 101 is the single best loco in the game IMHO. The sounds are excellent, the physics are realistic, and the safety systems work flawlessly on all the routes, including LZB. The coaches look really nice, especially the rear coach as it passes by. It is always fun to encounter the train set as AI. It has been layered into multiple timetables and many of those runs are excellent with lots of traffic and adverse signals to encounter. You can also sub it into freight runs with a PC mod by Alexander L found here: https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m...ubstitution-mods-german-rolling-stock-edition The 101 is also featured in a number of Creator’s Club scenarios. If I had to list my top 3 TSW locos, I would be forced to leave out some very enjoyable stuff. However, I would settle on the DB 101, the 612, and the 465.
Don’t forget the coach sounds. If you haven’t already, just sit in one as passenger as the AI drives and listen to the amazing internal sounds of the coaches rattling along and over switches.
It's down to personal taste. I like difficult old locos and newer locos, using the latest speed control systems. So in addition to the above - DB BR155 BR Class 52
Of all my loco DLCs I love the BR101 and the Baby Bullet on Peninsula Corridor. The 155 is a nice drive as well. The weakest I own is the 187 but even that's OKish on a slow route such as MSB
Personally, I would buy the London Commuter route if you dont already have it. I know you asked for a loco but this route is great. It has loads of Timetable Services (with a few more if you have GWE, SEHS, and the 313). If I must suggest a loco, it would be the 313. It is a neat loco with loads of Livery Designer Potential. And one thing I like on london commuter after the services stop I can take a 313 out of selhurst depot
A more question Which dlc should I get BR 52 from, the class 52 loco package or the diesel legends of gwr?
Get the DLOGW. It is way better, has Raildriver *i think*, livery designer, is in a better livery, comes with a bundle of 2 other locos, and runs on a route where it actually used to run irl
Diesel Legends - you can use the full speed, the timetabling is good, with adverse/yellow signals to make it more difficult, 40? express non stop services. I love the pack and because I also have the Heavy Freight pack and Class 31, I have 7 locos and 268 services to choose from. I don't have too much of a problem with the modern setting, although there are some unauthorised third party backdated modifications available.
Class 313 & 465 EMUs, just two very well made additions for their respective routes. DB BR 101 is another classic and it is available for a lot of German routes. If you have Peninsula Corridor, the Baby Bullet loco is amazing. It is much easier to drive than the standard locomotive, both the loco and the carriage. The BR155 is another classic, this time in freight. RSN is not my favourite route though, but it also has services in the Dresden-Riesa DLC and it is much more enjoyable there. Diesel Legends of the Great Western. Afaik this DLC is the only way, at least within default timetables, to run an all stop service between Paddington and Reading, because the modern GWR routes are either express/limited stop services or dont run the whole route. It also allows you to run the Class 52 in its full glory instead of being confined to running like a turtle in WSR.
155 if you have Ruhr-Sieg Nord then it can layer onto Rhein-Ruhr Osten Tharandter Rampe Main Spessart Bahn Aschaffenburg-Gemünden where are you are going to realize it has enough tractive power to climb steep sections.
