In the game currently we have a fair few British historic routes (NTP, TVL, WCL) with another one arriving soon-ish. In the US we have Clinchfield RR but every German route is a modern route with TRAXX locos, EMUs and electrified lines. It would be nice to have something historic from germany be it steam, electric or diesel. It would be great to have something like a BR 103 in original livery or a DRG Class 01.5 pacific 2C3D9CF9-CCBD-42EF-B81A-3B755663EF95.jpeg 7CC43E78-3C40-411D-A2A5-7461FDA0F568.jpeg

Most of my travelling in Germany was done during the early 1980's, so I have far more affinity with the traction and rolling stock of that period than what we currently get for the country in TSW. The UIC side corridor stock with the rather uncomfortable plastic seats that only came about half way up your back. Got to wonder how DB and DR or indeed all the other European countries who used the design got away with such spartan accommodation for long journeys like the D or FD trains. Then even more basic were the original Silberlinge coaches or the ocean blue and cream painted variants used on some "E" trains (Innsbruck to Garmisch!).

Now this is a suggestion I fully support! The BR52 is globally known as a formidable, freight hauling 2-10-0, and a healthy amount still survive today in preservation. Plus, many Train Sim users have had the chance to drive this locomotive since the early days of Railworks, making it a fan favorite.

For fast passenger service, the reboilered variants of the BR 01s come to mind, with their comparatively late reconstruction, plus the advancements in railway design that they were able to utilize. Here's a look back into the 1970s, when these machines coexisted with newer diesel and electric power.

In West Germany these are known as DB BR052 001 To make them appropriate for Deutsche Reichsbahn DDR these are called 52.80 01.5 Rekolok. Own a Deutsche Reichsbahn DDR route these will change DCZ DRA with Steam locomotives running normal services and Chemnitz to Dresden Altstadt Museum Trips.
    DR 52.80

DR 01.05 both are Made by Raw Meningen

I agree and for the West German versions these can run Pre 1966 Duisburg-Oberhausen-Arnhem Line. If DTG was brave to do 135 km 84 mi then the Duisburg-Utrecht line with 52 & 01.5 ends at Arnhem to have a Dutch electric locomotive run Arnhem Utrecht. Other possibilities are the Trier Metz Woippy via Apach 1960s with those two West German Steam locomotives ending at Apach for a French 25kv 15kv locomotive to run Metz Woippy from Apach and also Koblenz Trier Moselle Line pre-1974 electrification. Another way to introduce them is the Deutsche Reichsbahn DDR versions 52.80 & 01.5 for Karl Marx Stadt-Hof via Gutenfurst 1960s-1970s and Berlin Elsterwerda 122km with a GDR Legends DRA DCZ route made.
